Is it meant to be sexy though? I thought it was a game set in hell, with a lot of graphic violence.
Also, the very thought of a succubus demon who rips off men's genitalia is pretty unerotic imo. I certainly wouldn't want to meet such a demon.

I don't particularly care if they want to release games like that (as long as it doesn't get too crazy) but it would be nice if we had a tagging feature here so we can block games with tags that we don't particularly want to see. That'd just be a nice feature in general.

Which is more natural, sex or violence? The majority of us are creatures with sexual desires, it's a primary driving force and yet many societies suppress it or teach us to feel guilty for feeling that way. Why should everyone be forced to live by other's standards?

I see no problem with sexual content on gog if it's clearly labeled as such...... as long as it's ok with their Chinese overlords of course!

As long as it's not harmful, who cares? I'd understand speaking out against games with gambling mechanics directed at children, but afaik porn never hurt anybody. Nor digital guns or any of videogame for what matters.

The thing is, who decides the fine line of what gets banned entirely and what stays? They'll always be a GOG user not satisfied with content of one game or another because people all around the world all have differing definitions of what is "appropriate" and what is not.

"Banning" something is not the answer for most of the content GOG already sells. GOG already has determined what level of content they are comfortable to sell - the fact that it got authorised to be sold on the site or not should indicate this. All that needs doing on top of that is simply mark / classify each game so that people who don't want to see it on the site can avoid to see and or purchase it as they choose.

I have my hang-ups on certain stuff as we all do to a point. But I'm not a prude either. Some people like games with varying levels of sexual content, and this is a store which sells to a large number of different countries and therefore people of different cultures and upbringings with varying levels of acceptance of sexual content. I personally don't support banning a game to satisfy just a small number of the userbase unless the content is universally accepted as illegal/harmful worldwide.

just because it is not your kink, does not mean others don't find it sexy. it links into the whole S&M / BDSM culture. It is described as an 'erotic' game. There are other games likewise sold on horror, sex and violence, for example Lust from Beyond

edit - might also just point out that ripping of men's genetelia is just one thing the protagonist does. She also do many other 'things' to both human souls and other demons during the game.

The ironic thing is that the sex scenes in Subverse aren't very good. There is SFM 3DCG porn out there (especially Overwatch) that has far better textures and animations than Subverse. Hopefully they get their act together and improve that shit before it comes out of Early Access.

Does such a thing actually exist though? There are countries which allow a lot of content. Japan, in particular, produces and sells tons of stuff that would be deemed "not allowed" (if not straight up illegal) in the majority of countries.

Oh boy, guess never heard of things like vore or guro. I don't know much about this particular game but by looking on screenshots seems pretty unambiguous to me. And I thought all Germans are lewd :P
