For anyone interested, Arch did a review of the Early Access version of the game.

Subverse! The Erotic Space Adventure Enters Early Acess! First Impressions And Gameplay!
I'm interested in purchasing a DRM-free copy of Subverse. It's received quite a bit of interest on Steam in a day's time. Please look into releasing this game here, GOG. I don't think you, exactly, have an overflow of enticing and interesting titles being released here on a regular basis; you need all the help you can get releasing compelling games, worth buying, on your website.
The game looked pretty interesting. I feel like most shmups nowadays end up being autoscrollers, and although I have nothing against those, it's always refreshing to see a game deliver such a free range of movement and control.

On top of that it combines it with tactical grid combat, which has been a guilty pleasure of mine ever since playing that Capsule Monsters game on the Ps2. Sweet!

I was a bit disappointed (and surprised) to find out it was a porn game, but that likely wont deter me. I'm not a puritan. I've done far worse things in Grand Theft Auto and DOOM, games that, for some reason, do get a pass in the west.

I swear we live in the land of confusion.
I'm just baffled that steam is banning super seducer 3 and is ok selling subverse. Super seducer maker is prob rolling in his grave just about now because steam and everybody else buried him alive.

Game now at least found a home here:

While i'm not interested in the game myself it's still quite a shitshow what went down regarding it's release and it's getting banned from steam and gog not even replying and such.

And meanwhile subverse is topping charts. What a weird time.

Indeed. Gratuitous violence, hectoliters of blood, guts and gore or running over people in cars? Completely fine but if you show an exposed titty in a game? You deserve to be lynched immediately. Even when easily accessible porn of any and all variety is literally just a google search away. Or just look up "naked yoga" on Youtube (if you dare).

I pretty much have no interest in the game myself but want it to do well anyway just so this stupid stigma that only exists around games and no other media finally disappears.

Thanks for that - haven't checked in to the forums for a while - was wondering what was happening with SS3

Dunno about other countries, but in the US it is because we were founded in part by puritans and similar types....and it still somewhat influences our country/culture till this day**.

(**People still like such things in the US.....it's just that a number of people will try to appear virtuous/etc and try to keep such thoughts/desires hidden)

I'll be the black sheep here probably, but It's good that GOG doesn't automatically approve every tiddy game and asset flip...

Are people seriously vouching for this crap? (attached screenshot from the Steam page. Edit: doesn't seem to work, but imagine a big-busted doll on a bed being "probed" with the "cum" meter at the bottom. Classy.)

Some comparing this to Duke or Witcher really need glasses or something. Yeah, Duke may be raunchy at times, but it's not...whatever this is...

Steam and Switch already have problems with trash overflowing the system. We can keep GOG a bit cleaner, I'd say. No, I'm not a puritan. No I'm not american. I play Postal, DOOM, Duke, GTA and so forth with the rest of you.
I just don't care for games aimed at a very niche "loser" type of a guy flooding every platform I'm on. Even the nudity tag wouldn't work here, because it would be plonked together with the Witchers, which isn't fair. Give it a "trash" tag, plonk it with the rest of those "VNs", asset flips and anime tiddy games - then I'm fine with whatever :D

hm, no. The game is a porn game, it is sold as a porn game, and that's fine. It probably do not belong on gOg and that's fine. It is not an asset flip, though.... however, gOg want to be a serious game store, and it is expected that they also behave as such. It is perfectly fine to not have the game here, but then just say so to the developer. Typing "sorry, this game is not appropriate for this store. good luck on other stores, though" took me litteraly less than 3 seconds to type, it is a professional way to behave, and all parties are clear on where they stand.

To stay fair: GOG and communication always was a big problem ... not just between their customers. I also heard from several devs that sometimes GOG is really slow in repsonding at all. And I am talking about perfectly mainstream games which are now sold on GOG. It's just GOG being GOG. I wish it were different. To give an example: years ago I communicated with JudasIscariot basically on a daily basis and then - from one day to another - no reply at all. Asking GOG what happened I never got an answer... I still have no idea what happened. I know that he is still working there but that's basically all I know. Obviously it is a big secret why communication has stopped completely .... so much for GOG and communication.
