No, you still have to buy it like at a normal store, but there is no subscription.

edit: yeah you get to keep the free games. but other titles you must purchase as normal.

yeah and drm free too, so you can save your game installers to a usb pen drive or a dvd!

Well, unfortunately I cannot tell as the game card is a mess but they do have microtransactions but so does Gwent. On the other hand, Gwent only makes money through those so it is kind of understandable.

Welcome to GOG. :) The forums do not require a subscription, there are occasionally free games and the prices are rather competitive. While I knew GOG as "Good Old Games", they've expanded to include games by independent developers who have released on other platforms in their catalog.

What I do like about GOG games is that they don't need to phone home to use them, thus the DRM free aspect. There have been some deviations from this but for the most part, it gives the purchaser of the game some peace of mind that if they upgrade their PC or use a new one as a daily driver, they are still able to play their games.

GOG was created by CD Projekt Red, the creators of the Witcher games based on a fantasy series of short stories and novels.

I am looking forward to seeing what Cyberpunk 2077 has to offer. The only problem with making a niche game is that the time it takes to market vs. the novelty of the niche can be a narrow window, but I think the game will shine. (fingers crossed).
