Gurlok: Van Helsing FC is some kind of exception when it comes to dlc, a gog user asked on the game's thread the very same question:

https://www.gog.com/forum/van_helsing_series/gog_galaxy_is_the_texture_dlc_automatically_installed

Also, I can confirm this myself, as I have installed it through galaxy, and the hd textures were NOT installed (and to be honest they aren't even that great, considering the nearly 19~ gb they require, but that's just my opinion).
They probably don't consider it actual DLC then. As a texture pack it probably is considered just an optional extra. Thanks for clearing that up. :)

I really don't know. It could be even due to how the setups or gog galaxy itself handles VHFC. Anyway, glad to be of help :)
Thanks to both of you for the responses. Based on the folder size it did not install the DLC, so no worries there.

Also, if anyone was curious about the Baldur's Gate thing.

I had to go into the game page via my library, click more ~> manage installation ~> import folder.
It found it that way.

Had to do the same thing with wasteland 1.
