Webm will probably kill off gif eventually.
That people would defend insta-fail stealth sections in non-stealth games.

Lol yeah, that's a bit rich coming from you. ;)

Children and Leftists by Erich Fried

Who tells children
you have to think right
that is a rightist
Who tells children
you have to think left
that is a rightist

Who tells children
you don't have to think
that is a rightist
Who tells children
It doesn't matter what you think
that is a rightist

Who tells children
what he thinks himself
and also tells them
that something could be wrong thereon
that is maybe
a leftist
Thanks

- this blockchain / decentralise network tech. actually real not just a hype.

- disney fucked up the last star wars movie.

- rich chigga change its name to rich brian.

- mark suckerberg not wearing a hoodie / t-shirt anymore

- marvel studio avengers not bringing up this adam warlock character against thanos instead its captain marvel (or whoever she is) just to appeal the rest of the female audience / simply afraid of the feminist attacks!

- there was actually a big convention happened in the u.s.a for those ppl who believe the earth is flat

Next meeting to take place in Madagascar and the meeting after that... zero participants. Problem solved. I wish every falsehood was so easy solved.

What's up with the hate towards the new star wars movie though? I thought it was better than all the prequels George Lucas made prior to that? (even though the force awakens was mostly plain boring)

How was it messed up? I thought most of it was most fitting, especially how they treated Luke Skywalker. He became bitter after the original trilogy (and there was overall no reason the universe would not have gone to shit considering what power vacuum destroying the empire would leave...), became an exile and returned to do something symbolic that was important for the rebellion (letting all the raw power of Kylo Ren come to nothing).
low rated

I agreed when I first saw it, but as time as passed, and I reflect, my opinion continues to drop.

I am a SW freak so ultimately I love anything with the label, yes even the prequels, but without putting my finger on any specific thing, Ep 8 just had problems....for me (I don't want to speak for anyone else). Call it a combination of little things including some needless scenes, bad plot choices, and some wasted characters, it just didn't sit well with me.

Of course, I'll be front an center on day one for Ep 9 and every May 4th I will put on brown robes and walk around the house saying shit like, "You Have taken your first step into a larger world." :P

I know it's all over the internet, but only 500 people attended the conference. It's not as big movement as they would have you believe. Source: https://www.livescience.com/60972-flat-earthers-first-conference.html

mofofromjkt: flat earth movements are real
I really don't think so. It seems to be much closer to the "sherlockian game", which is about pretending that Holmes was a historical character. The game is a bit ruined when you admit that you know he wasn't. I don't think there's any fun for a "flat earther" in admitting the obvious. But I'd be surprised if anyone, amongst all those who toy with these playful rhetorics, actually believed the Earth to be flat.

Okay, you could say I'm a flat eath theoricians denialist. But I'm sincere. For real. What I wouldn't have predicted is people assuming flat earth theories to be sincere.
Something I didn't predict I would experience ever: An EULA which I like!

Shadowstalker16: From what I've read, Bush was also a big idiot and I don't see half the tears I see about him and his 2 terms.
Bullshit.

You're comparing different times. The world is far more globalized now than it was back at Bush's terms. Things that happen the other side of the world have a far bigger impact today than back then.

Not only that, but people have also become more aware of what all this globalization means. For example, Syria's refugee crisis or Haiti's need for help after major earthquakes were huge indicators for people in unaffected countries that, once crap hits the fan elsewhere there's a good chance some droplets will hit their neighborhood too.

And what's more, the technological landscape changed as well. You didn't see that much involvement from people outside of the US back then? Oh were you checking Twitter in 2009, per any chance? What about Facebook? Oh right, they either didn't exist or weren't as globally widespread as they are today. Which means it is much easier for information from other places to reach these people (and their involvement to reach you) today than back then. Maybe all that political involvement already existed but it never reached your ears.

TL;DR: Things change.

Shadowstalker16: Also, many big powerful countries have gone through political turbulence recently (ie Brexit, China effectively having an irremovable dictator) and people around the world didn't assume a duty to embarrass the responsible party.
"Leader of the nation with the biggest nuclear arsenal don't play well with others" is a major factor here. Brexit may have a few consequences in Europe but I don't see a possibility of a war, much less a worldwide war emerging from that in any way. Same as China's dictatorship.

Who even has time to come to this forum defend another country's politician over caring about their own? Unless their own country is perfect, I'd guess that would either be the rich and privileged or the unemployed and stupid.

avatar
Shadowstalker16: Either way, the level of ad hominem against (and by) Trump has probably raised that bar, so we can look forward to even more entertainment when the US plays musical chairs next time.
I agree 100% with you here
