Still, it's easy to say that in retrospect. I don't think anyone really believed that from the get go, and I don't think anyone would have guessed that Warner Bros would have games here.
Point is, it's easy to say that companies are stupid, but they aren't really. They want money, they don't want risk, and it's easy for them believe that protecting themselves is better than not doing that. That's the same thing most people think, and that's rather smart, not stupid. The arguments for how DRM affects profits are speculations on both sides. I believe that DRM isn't hurting the publishers' bottom lines significantly
It just crossed my mind that the more the DRM lets them know about gamers' habits (i.e., number of people currently playing, from where, etc.), the more they'll like it. Which is why it's unlikely to go away. This particular benefit has nothing to do with piracy.

Digital Distribution places almost total control of price into the hands of the seller/producer, allowing them to put the highest price tolerable for as long as posible. While this may apear good for publishers, it is very bad news for consumers. In the long run such systems tend to collapse, most economic boom/bust events have happened because to much control was put into one area and it was misused.
Consoles are still tied to physical media mostly because the consumers are very wary of a digital only system.

You can't stop the internet. What is there will stay there no matter how you fight it.
If they remove it once, I shit you not... Another torrent will be up and running in minutes.

I don't like games like this being pirated. Still, though, you are mistaken. This *specific* site, as of late, got VERY sensitive about copyright holders' contacting. They remove the torrent in question in 3 days max, plus if it is ever reupped from same member, even with different title, it gets removed again. This loophole makes the uploader tired, especially if the files in question are large and finally repels off anyone wanting to pirate the *specific* torrent.
I already proposed GoG to contact them, this specific site. It is strictly moderated and as its own good DOGS of an admin admit, "we are allowed to exist as a torrent site anymore, only because we remove torrents that are troubling copyright holders".
Pssst, here boy, good boy, GoG, throw them a bone and order them to play throw and fetch! They are weak and pathetic, this specific site is no real pirate's den! It degenerated! Take advantage of it!
Also it has a specific sector explaining to copyright holders how to contact them and what credentials to present, in order for the admins to take action swiftly and effectively! Give them a good hard kick, from underneath the belt! Nuts area, straight unto their nutters! Ah, wait, those pussies who once kicked ass have no ballz...

It will be uploaded by different people. By the time they moderately remove one, 3 new will replace it.
Not to mention that there are many sites that host torrets, most of them do not care about the legal stuff since they can just change domains and what not.
Also the torrent link can be posted in a forum. What then? you can't find it.
You can't stop it, no matter how hard you try.

Even if it is only one site, even if it is only about a single game of GoG or even better, the entirety of GoG torrents, they should get a notification to start deleting and removing. We need spirit! And we need to start from somewhere! A good start is the SOFT targets first! Yarr!
Now now, i am a pirate, yes, but i never upped and never agreed to anything upped from GoG. Also, this specific site made an enemy out of me, some time ago, even if i was one of the oldest members full of achievements and titles! A pirate's loyalties are never set in stone. A pirate can turn against a pirate anytime, especially if other pirate craps on him and his "fortune". Also, pirates CAN work and cooperate with authorities and historically have done, many times... Cyber or not, a pirate is a pirate. And always abides by the code...

People who want to pirate will pirate no matter what. They will find a way.
All I hope is that the people that pirated W3 will one day see how awesome the game is and that the developers should be rewarded with money for their job.
Btw... enough talking... the giveaway starts in 5 min :D

The Witcher 3 is an excellent game and provides a benchmark for all the developers around the world. As I have experienced this game,I can say that it is an epic.
This game was around $25 when I bought on GOG.com and most of the gamers who have played and enjoyed the game have to admire that this is completely worth it.Even if it were $100,it would have been right to buy this game.
GOG's decision to make this game DRM free must be respected and we must buy this game.
It is very condemning to have people who take great pride in downloading copyrighted materials through torrents. In fact, they feel that it is their birthright to get everything for free.
If seen,it was because of these kind of people that Denuvo protection came out which is almost uncrackable and it has become a necessiity as of today which is great.
Even though I admire GOG's DRM free policy,I would like to request them to adopt Denuvo because it the only way available to deal with these criminals.
Their future games must be protected.
There are many games like
1.ROTTR
2.Just Cause 3
3.FarCry Primal
4.Metal Gear 5:TPP
5.The Division
6.Need for Speed 2015
7.Mirror's Edge Catalyst
8.Doom 4
9.Assasin's Creed Syndicate
10.Dark Souls 3
11.Uncharted 4(PS4)
12.Mafia 3
13.Final Fantasy 15(PS4)
14.Devil May Cry
Anyone who has played these games would say that they are as awesome as The Witcher 3.But if you know, most of the games listed above are not DRM free,in fact, they are all protected.
At least for this reason,we must buy the game and show our love and support for the developers of The Witcher 3.
Thank You The Witcher 3,CD Project,Poland for this beautiful experience.
I have and always buy games instead of downloading torrents. Therefore, please stop pirating this game.
