HereForTheBeer: B) Pretty sure I'm never going to equate content-blocking on a game forum to rape.
I didn't mean to insult you. I live in Russia, and censorship is a major problem here despite being explicitly prohibited by the Constitution, and it serves to enable other crimes on a massive scale. Choosing what to read on the other hand is not a crime at all.
HereForTheBeer: But even for them, there are occasional nuggets or helpfulness and politeness. If you don't want to sort through the turds to find the nuggets of good, then go nuts with your individual blocking script and PM blocking. That shouldn't bother anyone, but I think it does cause one to miss out on some good content here and there.
Again, it's not "nuts" to block a user any more it's "nuts" to not read a particular book or play a particular game, or to ignore books by a particular author. Like, do you read Chuck Tingle erotica?
Everyone filters. The point where you could read everything ever published in the English language has been passed by the 11th century. By trying to sift through shit, I am missing on (so, filtering out) more deserving content. And if by chance a blocked user posted a solution to Arcanum not running on Win10, or I understand from context a blocked user is spreading lies about me (hur hur), I can always unblock them for this thread only, it's two clicks (Greasemonkey + reload).
HereForTheBeer: I do find it ironic that some of the folks championing the blocking script(s) are some that I consider to be purveyors of turd-dropping around here. But they also make good contributions elsewhere and I appreciate that particular content.
As I've posted in the "Welcome to new CM" thread, I do actually post knowingly objectionable content, but only in response to other knowingly objectionable content. I won't ever do something like
user1> If the game keeps crashing, try putting -no3d in the shortcut.
SM> UR RAAAAAAAACIST!!!1!

I'm pretty sure tinyE never gifted or offered to gift me anything. People are welcome to prove otherwise, in which case I will leave the forum / unblock everyone / publicly condemn Alaric / eat an object of your choice on live video (pick two).
Since 2012, I only got (I may be wrong about
this) three gifts from people in the "GOG community". One was a set of non-GOG games from a user who hosted massive indie giveaways back in the day (Fractal, The Yawhg, maybe something else I forgot), one was Supreme League of Patriots another user got in one of those randomized sales, and one was a tabletop roleplaying game off DrivethroughRPG.
