Actually no, it fits perfectly. You are trying to blame a "crime" on people who, by appropriately responding to a preceeding "crime" create an opportunity for the "crime" the blame for which you are trying to shift.

So it's basically I don't like what this person is doing, and I don't care if I do the same but I will do it because it's not wrong if it's me doing it. Of course that comment isn't to be taken completely serious but that's honestly the first thing that popped into my head when I read your post. I don't see how 'blacklisting' some users in a forum where there is no effective moderation, would hurt anyone.. Especially when we are talking about random people on the internet. So if the peaceful solution to oneself and others is to blacklist someone, I see no harm done. It could be a feature on GOG's forum itself. At least the script usage prevention is out of the window if it's true about mass reporting someone using scripts being possible. Just how I see it.
