Lol, you must not visit the politics forums on Neogaf. I kind of stuck around there after that since I wasn't aware of ResetEra but once i visited the politics forum I quickly lost my desire to stay. Straight up alternate fact trump country over there.

On top of that ResetEra appears to have much more traffic

I support trans rights and have 120 games from GOG, the first of which I bought back when it started in 2008. "not real gamers" is just a tired variation of the No True Scotsmen fallacy.

Characterizing criticism as a mob in the age of ubiquitous social media is a sleight of hand; by definition, all criticism will be from a lot of people aka a mob. The thing to ask is the criticism correct.

IMO, hijacking a hashtag about people's rights being removed - in the context of GOG previously using a phrase to belittle that same group - is at best immature. Maybe get an adult to supervise the edgelord in charge of the social media accounts.

GOG pissed off a bunch of abusive misogynists? Good.

The non-apology doesn't detract from it in the slightest. It basically says "we don't keep up with your stupid hashtags".

tremere110: At least GoG has learned something this time around. Their apology was a lot more flippant and they didn't apologize to resetEra - the ones posting employee addresses and threatening to send bombs, also banning anyone who profess to be GoG's customer.

Now if GoG could only learn not to post such things in the first place.
How can this not be intentional? Even monkeys aren't this clueless.

I don't know if there are any threads about The Mob, but that would be cool if there were.
