Resetera doxing a person for a mistake that was already deleted, pure witchhunting, I wonder which kind of bitter people is checking GOG Twitter ready to capture everything, even if deleted, and coming back to their sad forum to burn some witches.

cdturner5984: (this is just in response to jmcentire's question about the specifics of what is happening over here)
OK, thank you so much.So it's about Title IX, which is strictly related to sex discrimination. Adding "Title IX" to my search I see that it's about giving a concrete definition for the sake of enforcing Title IX. So it's not erasing transgenderism; it doesn't *seem* to effect the concept of "gender" (going by the more modern definition) at all, but rather does not consider personal identity when determining if discrimination has occurred (apparently Obama expanded it in 2014 and Trump is now rolling it back). I may be wrong, but I imagine this merely tests for discrimination based on biological factors instead of psychological ones. I'll have to keep looking, but thank you again cdturner5984 for pointing me in the right direction.

Oh, and

cdturner5984: and since Transgender issues were a big sticking point for Republican voters here (it would be an understatement to say that they do not like them)
I just want to say this is a slight bit presumptive. I'm a registered Republican -and some might characterize me as far right since I most align with the Constitution party and have sympathies for both agorists and the NRx- but I don't dislike transgender people simply for being transgender. Rather, there are patterns of speech and action that can be associated with, but far from limited to trans individuals (or anyone who claims to be part of the LGBT+ community) to which I object.

Nobody in the republican party hates trans people.....at best only 1% or less of the US population...i don't care what a person does, as long as you don't try and force me to agree or call someone a woman when they're clearly a man behaving like a woman.

That I can't do.

on the 2nd one, fair point, my apologies. I guess it would be better to say that it was a divisive matter of concern that came up in the lead up to the election quite strongly in conservative states.

People who don't have anything better to do with their life... They should start going outside and maybe go for a couple of days on a village on top of the mountains to get some fresh air....
These days everyone gets offended from anything vegan, trans, sjw etc.
I feel bad how the world changed these last 15 years. I remember in the old days people were a lot better.
Valid point on the 2nd one (sounds presumptous) . I'll edit the post to reflect.
I'm just confused at this point, why is this an issue again?

Was this really done out of malice or hatred? Don't think so, people need to relax and stop being so hysteric over seemingly meaningless events.

Or, just stop going on Twitter, it's a fucking trash site anyway.

I wish corporate social media managers everywhere would stop pretending to be hip and edgy on social media's latest viral trend if they can't handle the associated risks that comes with it.

Correction: People have been shit to each other throughout the entirety of human history. The only difference is, that now modern technology and the anonymity of the internet allows everyone to spread and witness that shit on a global level.

All things considered, people these days are surely ( on average ) much more civil, respectful, educated, well mannered and open minded than they were 100, 500 or a 1000 years back. Maybe one day we'll even manage to all get along peacefully? Looks like for now we still have a long way to go.

Agreed. To me, there's only two acceptable ways to handle this: Either 1) GOG stop posting such jokes entirely, and just stick to a dry, more serious business tone, or 2) if they really think these jokes are funny, and there's nothing offensive about it, they should stand up for it, and not do a 180 as soon as someone complains.

Currently it's the worst of both worlds -- First they apologize, and basically agree that their jokes are in bad taste and inappropriate, but then they do it again. And again. And again... It's either some bizarre form of viral marketing, or they have no clue what they are doing.

cdturner5984, thank you. You didn't need to edit your post; I was just trying to show you the other side in general. But I appreciate it I think such misunderstandings are why w end up in debacles like this to begin with. That said, I can't see any posts in this thread after my last one. I had to log off to see more, and it shows 15 pages instead of the 11 I have when I'm logged in...weird.
*rolls eyes until they fall out of their sockets* Oh no! It's drama time on the internet again! Moving along...
OP is correct, most of these types are still in education and when they get to the work force it's going to hit them like a tonne of bricks that the majority don't give a shit about their made up bullshit.

Look at all the other game dev companies that bowed down to them and look at how poorly they're doing sales wise from before they decided to get involved, take another step back and look at the state of the comic book industry which is barely surviving as they went SJW and the people who actually brought comics abandoned ship.
