If one could disable it after that, the tickets from those without should get very low priority if the account did get hacked.
Who declines a protection tool, should not ask for help after.

Btw, Google provides a limited number of authentification codes which you can use in case your 2FA device does not work anymore. They have the same function as a PUK if you lost your PIN.
Download them, save them, keep them for emergency.

edit: of course, if codes arrive via SMS then you don't need those, in the worst case all you need is to get a SIM replacement with the same number. You should deactivate the old one anyway, if your phone gets stolen.

Agree, there should be more options.
But the F2A itself currently is the most secure way to go if you don't want extra devices (like I had for Blizzard and EA and still use for my online banking).

Honestly, I am over it. I am hoping they have the sense to completely delete the account. as i do not want my username stuck here, its been too long for me to recall specifics i guess, and it feels like a whole clusterf. bunch of stuff happened to cause this haha, had a data breach back in 2019, so i was leery about using my email. i had three different cards thanks to said breach, ive listed them all, though i cant give the required numbers for them as.. i no longer have them.
My emails are scrubbed of all messages, i dont keep information in my emails after - i had everything stored on my laptop which wound up being formatted. so i cant prove anything and its maddening i was careless enough with it all as a whole. I thank you all for your help and suggestions. i honestly feel like ive got dementia as i can almost recall everything, i know what games ive played, and yet.. not enough ive used the username for many, many, many years - you tube, etc. lol ill be kicking myself for a little bit with this haha. have a good one -- ps if its not clear im done trying, please by the love of god delete the account ill stick to steam

That's a bummer, maybe you'll remember enough details after some time. But how can they remove an account on your request if you can't definitely prove it was yours?

its unlikely lol i recall i used a crap email and i cant recall that i only have a handfull of passwords if i could recall the email i know the password used haha but they wont be sharing that now will they /shrug
and simply put, no idea. look at all my other accounts.. all listed as erdreik, under the same email(s) unlikely anyone else would throw the same one up, i gave some specifics but evidently not enough - the one instance i was too stupid to keep to the norm thinking i was risking more data breaches haha, thatll learn me :) live and learn, certainly have haha oops!

For the future: Using a crap email for something you intend to put money into is not such a good idea :)

No joke there! i honestly have zero idea why i went through the troubles, and that idiotic stage. thought i was being cleaver instead i was being a complete moron haha but hey good news the same year i did this.. i bought a house.. that balances it out right? xD
