Punished_Snake: Dunno about that. But why are they giving away free money?
avatar
triock: Promotion?
Yes, but I can't understand what those bitcoins are. I read something on wikipedia, still I can't figure out what is the purpose of those bitcoins.

Bitcoins are a new form of virtual currency. At one point they were worth close to a thousand dollars per bitcoin, but last I checked (has been awhile) they were almost worth nothing.

So are they like Paypal?

Definitely not. Paypal is just another method to pay online with your currency, but bitcoins are another currency.
But maybe we should discuss it in another thread?
No, PayPal is a website that provides a service and bitcoins is just money. A website did manage bitcoins, I don't remember who though.

Actually, bitcoins don't need any website, you can install client and use it. It has no "server", that's the main idea.

You are right, sorry for the mistake.

teshra: I don't know the details behind it but if this person wins one of your giveaways on Steamgifts, please ask for a reroll.
Mods of the GOG Gift club may want to look into his continued involvement within this group.
Thanks.

Suspended

By the way, if this belongs in the "known scammers" thread do let me know and I will cross reference it there too.
Very typical of you to immediately imply that i am a scammer, instead of just going after the reason first, and it hasn't been the first time you did. Says something, don't bother to reply as i have nothing to say further to you.

Some of you might already know i posted some information elsewhere here i got from steamgifts how to gain a few dollar (as most here have money problems), which required to trade with another user, so alot of people posted their login name to just do that. So did i, and i traded some of those stelar points fair and square.
However steamgifts considered that a referral link (which i disagree with as it was far from it) and they suspended me and probably a whole bunch in that thread for 2 or 3 days. That is it, i have not scammed anyone nor i ever will, not here, not anywhere else. And i have done 3 giveaways so far and people all got their game.
I am very sorry about it and i would have said something here too but i thought the suspension would be removed soon anyway right about the time the current giveaway would close.
If that got closed i would be happy to reopen it again.

Now i just seen the notification that i was removed from this group but i would really have liked it for someone to atleast have talked to me about this first.

Lugum, can you give me the big picture here(just got the middle of this)? You made a thread on how to gain $1 Bitcoin legally and then shit went down? Also,AFIK you never scammed anyone.

In short yes, and in that thread somehow even i got downrepped for in the op.
So i got suspended for 3 days, got downrepped, being implied that i am a scamme herer and i got removed from the gog.com gift group all because of it.
While i already have other real life problems to deal with, so yeah this is by far not really helping things either.

It is not in my nature to ever scam someone, even some giveaways or trades that went bad by mistake in the past even i made up for them even if that costed me more then it should have. I am never difficult when it comes to that.

you were removed because of the sg suspension , you can apply again when the suspension on your steamgifts profile is gone , we do this for every suspended sg account to ensure , no giveaways are affected with an additional one month cool down to make sure everything is alright.
you should be back to the group within the next month provided no other incidents occur.
Sg does not give us any information on what caused the suspension so its upto the members to inform the admins when they get suspended.

Okay but why a 1 month cooldown period still, i have done just 3 giveaways within 3 weeks, with success.
There would be absolutely no reason for it, apart from me making new ones for the next month.
I mean i can understand it with questionable people and possible scams, but when i pointed out i got suspended for something minor and absolutely no scam, a month is long.
Some mods on steamgifts are just a bit triggerhappy with the suspension button, just last week i heard about another event like that just here on the forum.

Like i said before we have 1 month cool down for any first removal from the group , 3 months for the next and 6 months for the third , to ensure that removal from group and rejoining asap does not happen rapidly. it has caused a lot of problems before where in some members came back and caused issues asap.
hope you can make your giveaways next month and be careful next time.

Maybe, i cannot control if there are power driven mods, if you google it, isn't just me claiming that nor would it be the first place where that happens. Yet i am the one suffering from it now, so even if i am careful it might not even matter if they ever find something else.
I did not even posted a referral link, what i was accused for, so they shouldn't even had the right to suspend me in the first place.
