If I put 2 or more different games in my steam cart, and purchase it as a gift, do I get a single key/code for them as a bundle, or do I get a key/code for each item in my cart?

Single.

Edit: Re-reading I see it's a steam cart, so the above is false. Separate items that you can deal with as you like, my (very) bad.

Support has been known to split gift codes before, but it's a manual procedure, and I think they are dealing with a high volume of tickets right now. Your call if you want to do one purchase and then ask to split it, or if you want to do multiple purchases.

Edit: As in the above post, the information is incorrect. Buying things on steam will give you separate items in your inventory, no need for code splitting.
