triock: Sure, than make a public giveaways. :p

SirEyeball: I usually do one of each on steamgifts;)
And the one for the group is for the community on GOG whether they are active ATM o not;)
It's not about ATM, but if you have time to enter steamgifts giveaways, you sure have time to be active on GOG forum, right? :P
When I was off for about three weeks I entered gifts but was not very active on the forum. It is easier to click entry than take a stand and come up with witty repartee;)

I agree with triock.
Anywho as stated earlier it is up to the gifter to set the rules so what we think is moot. It was just my 2 cents turned a dollar

Look, 3 weeks are nothing, but if someone after let's say 6 months still have only 40 rep, I don't want this person to regularly enter group giveaways. :p

which is why the initial rep should be upped to represent the time spent before you can enter. If you are that active before joining the chances are that you stay in this fine community. The few that want to spend that much time and effort to get in and then turn their back almost deserve it ;)

yeah, that's why, IMO, is needed to check periodically the rep of the member of the group (4-6 month), to see if they were active in that time, or only made their way to 50 rep to enter the group and then disappear ;)

Yeah, but it require a lot of work to monitor every member, that's why it's easier to put some requirements in your giveaway. ;)

this would only work from now on. It could not be implemented retroactively as people already entered on other terms. As I said a lot is falling for the new rules. But new requirements to enter the club would only affect new members

Nope, I don't think so.

you cannot change rules for existing members of a club without all members agreeing. That is just wrong and a dictatorship. we are all equal members and all have passed the set bar if the bar is raised then it will only affect new members it cannot affect current ones that would just be wrong. People who still do gifts for the club or has done so would have their efforts completely erased because they don't fancy writing in a forum. I find that to be more than harsh.

Honestly, If we split the members to check (now there are about 300 members if I remember right in the group.. let's say, 30 member to check for 10 person (admins+moderators+ some volunteers), I think the work is not so hard (10 minutes?), and it will save a lot of time to the gifters to check every single person entered in their giveaway. This, as I said, every period of 4-6 months

I don't remember anything about this - AFAIK the rules are set by admins. :P The rest of your post is just bullsh*t, sorry.

The problem is, not everyone joined the group at the same time. :p

True the Admins decide. I still think chucking people for not meeting new requirements is too hard. People who still do gifts for the club or has done so would have their efforts completely erased because they don't fancy writing in a forum. I find that to be more than harsh. is still quite valid I find more than one group gift on SG that hasn't been announced.

Sure, if they are generous to the community, they can have some form of exception, I don't think that would be a problem. ;)
