So, I'm ready for my first Steam giveaway, but since I don't want to fuck things up, I want to ask you guys something:
I purchased Batman: Arkham City GOTY Edition (hope there's demand for it :P) as a gift and I sent it to myself as a mail. But I didn't get the gift code, just the link to add it to my library. I guess I can just send this same mail to the winner of the giveaway, can't I? And they then just unwrap the gift?

But first I'll probably send a confirmation mail to the receiver, like some of the guys here do as well!
The faster you guys answer, the sooner I'll be able to open up the giveaway :D

Yes.
edit: I mean, you can send the gift to e-mail address of the winner via Steam client.

You should send the gift through your Steam inventory. You can use the winner's email, or add the winner to your friend list to send it to him.

The gift is still visible in your inventory right? As long as you haven't pressed "add game to my library", the gift can be e-mailed or sent through Steam to the winner.

and i (personally) recommend this to try cut down any issues, i mention it in the giveaway description that ill send a email first then the gift second. (but that is my preference)
