Heh, tell me about it...I did 2 giveaways at the same time last week and still trying to track down the winner of one of them. He refuses to come online to accept the key and even told me as much in an offline message. He has to be online to download the game anyways so I don't understand what the problem is.
Winners should not make it this difficult on the givers to get the key to them. Anyways, this has taught me 2 things...make a higher contrib amount to try and alleviate such situations if possible and be clear in how you will be gifting the key. I did say I will give the key in chat so SG admins have my back on this and told me I can reroll once the 7 days are up.
So hopefully, this winner sees that last sentence and understands a reroll is imminent. But then again, I don't know who he is here and if he even posts often so not sure he'll even see it before the time comes.
Ah well.

so that they can track down this person that is giving you trouble...
this might be cause for booting them from this thread...
cause that sounds like a pain in the ass that even i wouldnt want to deal with...

i know ive had issues in the past where people have then used the keys that i sent to re-gift to others...
or people did not like using Steam Chat & expected their keys in email...
so i had to revert to using email, even when i originally dont like sending them through e-mail...

I mentioned that because I'll be having to contact a bunch of people, making extra sure I'm giving the right gifts to the right people, etc.

Although there's always the chance of problems like you mentioned happening, but I think that, based on my past experiences, nowadays I just don't care anymore. Most my past troubles were from me "trying too hard" to reach the winner. Now I just send him the "standardized retsuseiba SG warnings": one Steam friend requests, one email if he rejected my request (explaining he won and to temporarely accept my request so I can send it to him through chat), and in the case of a GOG group giveaway one small headsup here on the thread and maybe one via GOG PM as well. If after all that he still doesn't reply after 7 days, I ask for a reroll. If he does reply, but, for some reason, denies such simple request that is a temporary add on Steam, I'll consider it "Winner rejected his gift" and then ask for a reroll as soon as possible.

And the world keeps spinning and the giveaways keep rolling.

Bioshock Infinite : Birthday Giveaway

This giveaway runs until my birthday on March 14, 2013. The winner will receive a pre-ordered steamgift before 48 hours of release to give plenty of opportunity to preload. I believe the release date will not change this close which is currently March 26th, 2013. I would have done Crysis 3 or Deadspace 3 instead however they are not on steam=( I also did not see any other great AAA titles around my birthday=(

I will repeat this post every 4-5 days or so to give people plenty of time to join and so it does not get forgotten, it also does have a $100 contributor value as i feel that is fair. Please do not join unless you truly plan on playing this game (I (I should expect that your steam account has bioshock 1 and 2 on it at the least=P).
