Just an (off-topic) heads-up for members (and users in general) using browser + [url=https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/]Greasemonkey add-on for AdamBiser's scripts* for our group: As you may already know, once Firefox 57 is released (around November this year), many add-ons will stop working because of the new implementation for add-ons using the WebExtensions format. Greasemonkey will be one of them, and as for many other add-ons, it seems its developement will stop at Firefox 56.

There're nice alternatives out there, and one of them already compatible with Firefox 57 and above is Tampermonkey (also available for Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Opera). It's actually quite good for scripts users. I've already switched to it to use it for my Firefox and Opera browsers. Just in case you're looking for an alternative, I can say I'm very pleased with it.

Any game that was free for even a short period was banned from SG. Now all those games can be given (unless they are currently free), but they won't count towards your value.

Unless AdamBiser says otherwise, and if everyone else is okay with it, I don't think this will affect the group. If a game was free at some point, two things can happen:

1. If most members already have it, giveaways most likely will end with zero entries, just like games from bundles.
2. If a member missed the chance to get it for free at some point, now should have a great opportunty to get it, thanks to the group and the new changes on SteamGifts.

Although, I should remind that most Steam Keys from free giveaways/promos have an expiration date, so it's important to be sure those Keys are still valid before creating a giveaway with those. If the source is different (bundles, legit digital retail stores, or from retail boxes), then most likely there shouldn't be any problem with those Keys.

This makes perfect sense from my perspective. Not everyone is getting everything all the time (I know I miss a bunch of desireable titles very often), so I'm pretty sure a lot such games will be welcomed.

well i won't call that hope , but luck ...

If you speak about the SG group i doubt you never won anything... if you speak about the public giveways , well that's very possible. I only won once (The Sexy Brutal) and i entered a lots of Giveways, but that's normal due to the numbers of users enterting in those. Hopefully i entered in GA in the private group, which reduces the number of people particpating in GAs and won a decent number of times considering the number of GAs i made. (and match the number i should have won if i look the data from my profile)

I use mainly SG because i have extras copies of games or those i'm not really interested (coming from bundles). If i could won some games the better , otherwise that's not a problem.

Which remind me, i should made some GA soon :P
