misteryo: Giving away GOG copies of
...
I will run the giveaway here in this forum. They are GOG codes, so cannot be given away at Steamgifts.
mchack: To be honest, I don't think this is the place to do this. While I really appreciate your generosity and I know that with the community GA gone there isn't a good place to do gog giveaways now, but I really don't think that this is the thread to do it in. This is a thread with a very specific task in mind and I don't think everyone wants to check it thinking there's new steamgifts GA in the group just to read another "I'm in" post :/
I see what you are trying to do: giving back to the great people in this thread which is nice and since steamgifts won't let you, you do it in this thread. But maybe you could just post a link to a thread where you do the giveaway in so that everyone in the group that wants to join knows about the GA but we're spared the "in" posts etc just like it is with a steamgifts GA.
Cheers
trentonlf: @ misteryo, I agree with mchack this is not the place to host a in thread giveaway. It's an awesome incentive, just a misplaced area for it.

Good luck!
OK. Well, point taken.
I withdraw the giveaway. Sorry, current entrants! I will regroup and figure out a new approach. I don't want to put a giveaway thread in the main forum. This place is improving, but it has a long way to go.
My giveaway intentions have been somewhat frustratingly thwarted lately. I have tried to give away Civ V and the two expansions with no real luck. My latest group Steam giveaways get so few entrants that I might as well be hand picking the winner. I just thought giving away some GOG games would be a solution.
Back to the drawing board!
Cheers, everybody, and thanks for explaining without freaking out on me.
