MODS - still no thank-you from Mrstarker - just stating this fact. He won a gift from me, did not comment on the GA nor after receiving the gift.

Not sure what the "strike" level is but I am making my complaint about this member known. Civility matters and if this member cannot abide by simple human manners then he should not be a member. I will gift the winner but as I stated, I will blacklist any member that fails to thank me either in the GA thread or afterwards if they win. Either is fine - nothing is NOT acceptable behavior.

As an aside, I waited to see if I would receive a thank-you since it took him several days to redeem the gift - I did not blacklist for simply failing to comment on the GA page.

Last I saw, it was a requirement of the group to thank the lovely people making the giveaways. Even if it wasn't, it's common courtesy, and a given, for me.

Exactly, while I don't tend to like thank you spam on public giveaways I do like to see thank yous on our group giveaways.

I'm not speaking for the rest of the mods, but I see your point and I think is totally understandable. Is common courtesy to say, at least, "thanks" after receiving a favor or gift. That's proper manners.

Although I have to say about this: Rule #12 says that all members must respect other members and this group is "for the honest and friendly GOG members", being rude won't be tolerated. This matter will be taken is consideration for Mrstarker.

For all the members, I don't say you must say "thanks" for every giveaway you enter because some giveaway creators don't like to get bombed with notifications (although others do like to see those type of comments, like me :P), but if you win, the least you should do is to thank the person who is giving you a gift.
