This is a little off-topic (sorry) but I don't really know where else to ask:
This is my first contact to sgtools never heard of it before, so I wanted to see what it's all about and look at your train (which is also a concept I haven't yet fully grasped).

Thing is when I go to sgtools it says I'm not eligable to enter your train since I allegedly haven't activated all my gifts. Which just isn't the case. Specifically when querying my username (mchack23 on SG and steam) it says I hadn't activated the GOATZ DLC I won together with Goat Simulator in this group. When looking it up in steam it's clear that I did activate it (both were on one key anyway) and steam store and library show both as owned.
sgtools even says that the DLC lookup is buggy but there's no way I've seen to contact support, so I could get this fixed.
I opened up a support ticket on SG about it but they just said, I should contact the sgtools dev since they are not affiliated. But I wouldn't even know how.

So my question is, why would one want to use sgtools when it obviously isn't working correctly and blocking users, that haven't done anything wrong, for no reason and doesn't even give them a way to make things right again?

Argh, now I tried it again and it seems I haven't tried clicking on check requirements. It then let's me look at your train without problems. Sorry to bother all of you, I'll now shut up and will only speak up again when I have something new to give away ;) (leaving this wall of text on anyway, well because it's still bothering me a little, even if it obviously isn't blocking me from anything)

Well, I've whitelisted you now, so something good came out of it.

SGTools isn't perfect, but it's pretty good; I watched other people use it for a couple of months before I tried it myself. Thing is, in public giveaways on Steamgifts I rarely find the Goodfolk as winners. I have reported and blacklisted my winners on several occasions for not activating previous games and multiple wins of the same games, and that's a tedious and joy-deflating process.

Trains and other invited giveaways are better, because they screen out the worst of the leeches and scofflaws, who often don't spend any time reading the forums. The SGTools gate stops people who don't activate their games right at the start, before they get involved - many of them trade links to the giveaways past the SGTools screen, but it's fairly easy to check the winners against the users who have been authenticated, which I plan to do on this one.

I know a lot of people don't care who wins, and certainly that's fine, and maybe I should be more like that. But I don't want to give codes to traders and scammers and leeches. The SGTools check helps, and they are adding more filters to it all the time.
