I'm almost certain that this question's been asked already, but if I have a code from a site for a game for gog, would I be able to obtain a steam key from here *from* that? I'm new to this site and don't know squat.

No.

What site are we exactly talking about here? Very few sites are legitimate GOG key resellers.

I got the key off g2a.

Eh? What's wrong with g2a? All the buys I've made from there were good. Used PayPal to pay, so no worries about my info getting stolen.

g2a is a grey market key re-seller, meaning that the key you bought may have been the result of a credit card fraud or cash back scam, stolen keys ets . these keys (including those for Steam) can be revoked by the original seller or publisher at any point (i.e. if you had activated the game on your account, it will be removed. if you had not activated it yet, the key will not work). use this site at your own peril.

gOg keys can not be used to get a steam key.

I see. Well, nonetheless, I've had no issues thus far, but I will be exercising caution if that's the case.
g2a is bad bad bad. You won't get a steam key here I'm afraid.

No, GOG and Steam are competitors, thus you'll never ever get a Steam key here. Also, G2A is a shady business, thus you may end up with your game getting revoked from here if it turns out the key was bought with a stolen credit card.

Nope.

Nor do we work with G2A.

And from a personal point of view, if you wish to support devs/publishers/companies in the future, I'd advise G2A no longer being your store of choice. This isn't even a sale pitch from me telling you to use GOG, I'm just suggesting you use a legitimate site/store be it Steam, Uplay etc etc
Weren't some indie devs that said they'd rather have their games pirated than sold through G2A?

yes, Acid Wizard Studio's guys. The developers of Darkwood. They even had shared their own torrent with the full game. I don't remember well but I think that a big amount of copies of Darkwood had been bought with stolen credit cards and after the refund they lose a lot of money.
legitimate sites to look at for game keys: humblebundle, direct from developer, Steam, GOG, direct2drive, and there may be a few others. GMG according to keyradar.com, is a yellow site, meaning use with caution. I would imagine g2a.com is red. Kickstarter can be used but not really a store-you get keys with a pledge and not right away.
