For real tho, it's "The Spiffing Brit", a youtuber who is relatively known for beaking games with exploits and such. No, not that guy. That's Josh with let's game it out.
Anyway, he figures out that if you get a EA play membership subscription on Steam, you can use the games that are connected to that account to farm keys and use them on Origin accounts to keep them even when you stop paying for EA play. Or sell them. Subscription keys.

And I can see Gaben sitting there and giggling now - "the fools, they have no idea what they are doing. Well, i am not going to help them, they should not have left to start with"
edit - it also higlights some of the problems with grey market sites like G2A. I am suprised they are still in buisnes, but then there are people like the person who made this cideo.

Together with the fact that what Steam is doing together with EA, is giving them the chance to almost "introduce" a Netflix style of gaming market; (You don't own games, not even licenses, you rent them, which is even worse than just buying a license)

TerriblePurpose: Ah, thanks. I don't watch/follow youtubers (although my kids do), so I've no idea who either of these guys are. Thanks for explaining what's going on with it though. Also, my bad for not giving any explanation of what this video and link was about, as I don't click random links without checking it's source too, I failed there, sorry. :)
In any way, I think you can be more safe with "HTTPS Everywhere" if you're too worried about that as it helps a little.

aCyborg: I mean it is kinda click bait but he was mainly revealing this flaw because he wanted to get it fixed. True. He even says that in a point of the video accusing Steam with a joke of not fixing it for a while because it was kinda "obvious" that G2A prices for those games were weird.

I do enjoy him from time to time. Usually pointing out balance issues, or glitches and bugs that let you break it, anywhere from making a fork in skyrim that can kill anything, to making a 'prison' where you are growing trees and selilng them for lumber and never having a prisoner.

Like Microsoft with Game pass (and how they tried to force it but got hated on and failed)
There are many others tho, but with steam tho you still don't own the games since they can take away your games if they wanted.
