Guys if i buy a game here can i access steam community as well?

GOG is completely seperate from Steam. So no steam cards, steam market, steam workshop etc. You also don't get a steam key if you buy a game here.

Why would you even want to access their forums? They are pretty toxic over there, nevermind the fact that GOG and Steam are two totally different platforms and companies. Here is alot better.

But to answer your question you don't need to buy the game here or there to access the Steam Community. Its free to access. However if your on about the locked features they have there for new accounts then to need to spend at least $5 or the equivilent in your local currency on the Steam store.

For game realated ones just view the game's store page then scroll down and on the right click view dicussions.

GOG may not have user art galleries, guides, workshop, but the GOG community is kinder. Steam forums can be quite hostile, but you can access it without buying anything, as pointed out above. Steam is really only worth it for games that are great but not on GOG.

You can access the Steam community whenever you so desire. The crowd there isn't the best but neither is the GOG crowd these days.

My assumption would've been that he was asking whether he can play with people who own the Steam version but I guess not

These are not Steam games, if that is what you are asking.

These are Galaxy games, yeah baby yeah! You'll learn to love Galaxy, or die trying.

So, in short, if you want to play with your friends online when they have their games from Steam and you from GOG, you must look for cross-play or some such feature. Some games have it, others do not.
