breakercode: Strange, it was not Steam who issued the SPAM warning but Developer's moderation team ...

"I have looked into the warning and it seems that it was issued by the developer's moderation staff." -Steam Support
So yeah, as is typically the case, it's never actually Steam's fault; but overzealous developers who are likely not people of fine characters. (See also, Factorio, Caves of Qud, et al.)

mechmouse: If we took every "Picard Face palm" ever shown on any screen since 1989 to present day, then compiled them into a 1000 mile high "Picard Face Palm Mural" we'd still not have enough of a Picard Face Palm to cover that comment.

This thread is likely to be shut down very soon, but you need help.... and an entry on the domestic terrorist watchlist.

The Global financial crash happened because a bunch of rich people all knew that trajectory the markets were heading, but all thought they'd be the smart one that would pull out just at the right moment and make millions. It didn't matter what happened to the rest of the financial market, only that they made big.

The world is literally burning because companies with full knowledge of the affects they were causing chose to run a campaign of misinformation in order to keep making massive profits.

Xeshra: What is the meaning of AA or AAA?
They are both real terms when talking about the video game industry. Look it up.

breakercode: Hello,

As everyone knows Hogwarts Legacy was already launched, and after check the GOG Wishlist some days ago i created a post on Steam forum promoting the GOG Wish for Hogwarts Legacy, because i believe a lot of Steam users doesn't know the wonderful work GOG does by fighting for user rights of owning their games.

But after a day my post was removed with a SPAM warning, i left in the attachment if someone want to take action, i already replied saying this promotes Steam Monopoly and it seems an offense to the Competition Law.

As stated, from my perspective this is simply against the Competition Law, disguised with "SPAM Message redundant or don't fit the topic"

My gamer dream is to have triple A games in GOG on launch date, since i'm proud to be a part of this project as a user and i will defend it with all the love i can give to it! <3

A good day to all :)
I think my brain lost a few hit points after reading this
The moderators of those Steam forums was most likely from this dev or publisher involved, athough they may not be very high on the "food chain", which means not sure they even hold a high power when it comes to the term of releases.

The publisher and mother company is Warner Bros Games and Avalanche Software is considered a part of it; not sure how much of own decisions they are able to handle; depends on the "mother company". There is already a lot of "Warner Bros Games" released on GoG, so this publisher is well aware of GoG: https:/.../www.gog.com/en/games?query=warner%20bros&order=desc:score

So, in this term, if you are "lurking" to some big competitors forum and kinda trying to make some advertisement... it kinda sounds hilarious in some way. You can still contacting them personally through some channels and kindly ask "if there is any release date planed in the future"... this is surely more serious.

However, as far as i can say... almost any Warner Bros Games had a GoG release somewhere in the future but "Hogwards Legacy" is just about a half year after release and even DRM protected, so it is safe to say it may take some more years.

GoG got a lot of those so called "AAA"-games which got its root from the "Investment-thing" and is not exactly a quality rating, rather a "investment-rating"... However, it is rather rare GoG got this sort of games right at the release, so this is usually involving some patience.

This has always been a problem. I faced this a bunch of times, I was banned as many times. I know a lot about censorship, all thanks to https://studydriver.com/censorship-essay/ where I get information from. But sometimes I'm surprised because they can be banned at all for an incomprehensible phrase. It pisses me off a lot, because they make the rules on the go..
