Happy Birthday!

Say what you want about Blizzard now, but that was one of the best games I played ever. And I don't even mean the e-sports. I just played the single player campaign, some maps and a couple of coops with a friend over a modem. Miss those days.

And i haven't played/beaten the whole game. I think i beat the original game, but not Brood War...

Now I really am starting to feel old.

I'm still annoyed at how badly Blizz screwed up the remaster. Can only select 12 units at once, horrible pathfinding not fixed, the new unit portraits have been SC2-ized and don't look like the originals. And all just to pander to Koreans.

Blizzard screwed up the remaster in a lot of other ways. Making the gameplay worse is not one of those. Also, instead of whining, you can always play Starcraft 2.

To each their own. To me StarCraft was probably the last Blizzard game that I had no serious complaints about and it pretty much remains my favourite among all their games to this day.

Agreed but for one point: Broodwar was too damn hard! :P

I did love SC 2, I REALLY LOVED IT, but it loses points for being a DRM mess.

I'm the opposite. I liked the old Blizzard better. Starcraft, Warcraft 2, and Diablo 1 and 2 were some of my favorite games growing up.

WoW was okay, I liked BC and WotLK. But since Cata happened, it's been garbage. I don't like the new Blizzard. I haven't played any of their newer games and don't plan to.

They're going to do a classic WoW server soon, and I think I will play that. Most other MMO's still can't do what they did right, even after all these years.

I loved the gameplay but the story was moronic.

I liked the ending but I'm a sappy melodramatic dork.

I played the f2p Wings of Liberty campaign and was surprised how good the gameplay was. But the story... oh boy. From a decent Space Opera to a standard 'the chosen will save the universe'-plot. I tremble when imaging what the story of a WC4 would be like.

So... how are you the opposite? Liking the old Blizzard better was exactly what I meant. "Least favourite untill WoW" means that I like WoW and what came after far less than the old stuff.
