I guess the "Doctor Who" fans bother me because I'm not obsessed with the show, but I love England. So everyone tries to peg me as being a Doctor Who fan. That's probably why I'm bitter/sore about Doctor Who. :P

I love Han, Chewie, and Lando (and their awesome dynamic in "Empire Strikes Back"), but that was all I really liked about Star Wars. Now Spock and McCoy always bickering on Star Trek...<3

drealmer7: Farscape rules all, btw.
Meh. I love how out there it was, but I didn't like how they tried to pair every character with every other character. -_-

Andromeda or Red Dwarf for the win! ;)

Just make a point, the England you see on Doctor Who has nothing to do with the rest of the country. All that stuff including the god awful accents are for the most part London based. The one thing about that I hate about the show, the obsession with London. The one place 75% of our population despise. I ended up turning on subtitles for a few episodes due to the awful English speech. :P

Emob78: Star Wars was the best when it had eastern philosophy, rotoscoped lightsabers, and Frank Oz with his hand up yoda's green butt. Star Wars since the prequels... well, even the special editions really, have pretty much sucked the big Bantha stick.
Don't forget the amazing things we shall have in VII, like Inquisition lightsaber and football R2 unit.

That's what we all asked for, right? Right? ... Oh, crap! :/

To be fair, it's more like gibberish than an accent. Kind of like speaking to a Glaswegian chav.

...makes me wonder what you thought about Torchwood being in Cardiff. :)

haha just as bad. Good show but yeah, they couldn't record the show where the general population can understand the characters lol

tinyE: Very funny Scotty, now beam down my pants.
I laughed so hard at this.

They are pretty good. Lot's of fun "pew pew pew - BOOOOM" going on. What can I say? I have simple tastes :)

I wonder, did anyone here read the new Aftermath novel, the replacement of sorts to the old post-return of the Jedi books? Is it any good? I've heard mixed things about it. I probably won't read it anyway, I've never been one for Star Wars books (though I like Trek books), but I'm just curious how's Disney doing on that front.
I love both franchises, AND B5 AND BSG AND Firefly.
All for one reason. Starships.

I guess Im a child at heart. I like the pew pew stuff, but as I have grown older my tastes have changed to include the political drama and societal messages these shows attempt to convey.

I like Trek for its resilience.
I like SW for its EU.
I like B5 for future we may hold and for how accurate I see Earth as in the big scheme of things
I like BSG because of the acting.
Edward. James. Olmos.

Sorry, even the shitty seasons have Olmos.
Instant win.
The Federation. Screw the Republic.

I will always love him for Lieutenant Castillo in Miami Vice, but in BSG he always looked bored out of his skull to me, like he didn't give a single fuck. Not that I blame him.

Crosmando: Neither. Stargate and Farscape are both superior.
Star Trek The Next Generation and Farscape are equal to each other in my eyes. Both superior to Star Wars.

Never seen Miami Vice but his acting in BSG was superb. He may look bored, but even bored he beats the shit out of shat and his gang.
I feel fine.
I love them both, but I'm a trekkie at heart. :)
