morolf: Last Jedi? So Skywalker hasn't managed to train more of them in the new movies? What's he been doing for the last 30 years?
Anything but trying to help stop his homicidal maniac of a former student apparently.

tinyE: Did you or did you not watch Episode VII?

He did, or at least tried, and his prize pupil turned on him so he went into seclusion.
No, I haven't watched it, and don't really intend to. I've never been a great fan of even the original Star Wars movies. There are some great Star Wars games though, like Jedi Knight. And in that series there's a whole new order of Jedi trained by Skywalker (and it had Kyle Katarn who has now been retconned out of existence...sad. And a purple dinosaur with anger issues as a villain). So it seems video game Skywalker is much superior to the one in the new movies.

Hmm, looks like they're recycling old plotlines...is Skywalker now like Obi Wan Kenobi who also was "the last Jedi" at one point.
Sounds pretty unoriginal.

Let's not forget Jedi Knight III also had Rosh Penin, a character so annoying he'd give Jar Jar Binks a run for his money.

I agree...that Rosh character was horrible...but I guess they made him like that on purpose so you were really tempted to kill him. Kind of worked for me to show the temptations of the Dark side.
But yes, story and characters weren't the strong point of the Jedi Knight games.

BoxOfSnoo: Rey, maaaaybe. But Finn was great.

Breja: Must be fun that parallel universe you come from. Unfortunately in this one he was a boring, bland cardboard cutout of a character with all the charisma of melted ice cream..
Ignorant and condescending all at once, very good.

The forum ate my last post so let me abbreviate...

He was an atypical character. Adolescent, clumsy and overeager, an unlikely hero. I think what you actually wanted was a cliche character.
1. What happened to the second last jedi?

2. How can they be sure they really are and will be the last jedi, to call themselves that? I hope there is no foul play involved, like that they kill any other emerging jedis before they become jedis.

I guess you don't have a sense of humor in that dimension of yours. Pity. I guess you can't have everything, right?

No, I just wanted a likeable one. Not a whining and boring one played by an actor utterly bereft of charisma.

Like, for example one of my favourite game characters Guybrush Threepwood. He is adolescent, clumsy and overeager. Crucially, he is also fun. He is enthusiastic, witty has fun dialogue and in the voiced games is played by an actor who gives him plenty of personality. None of that can be said about Finn, who has all the personality of an empty styrofoam cup.

Please, remember to keep needlessly insulting me if you chose to respond. I disagree with you about a Star Wars character, dammit! This is serious business!

Skywalker probably killed all of them, because he has such a big ego and wants to be the ONLY Jedi.
And that Kylo Ren guy discovered Luke's dark secret and is actually the good guy.

That figures,nerd no life.
I suspect the ambiguity of whether the "Last Jedi" is singular or plural is deliberate, especially given that none of the international names have been announced yet (the international names for The Force Awakens were released more or less at the same time as the original title).

As soon as the international titles become available, so too will it become apparent whether one or more is meant (In German: "Der letzte Jedi" as singular, "Die letzten Jedi" as plural).
