There it is. I have to say, it looks... rather bad. If I didn't know it's real, I'd say it's a fake. It looks fake somehow. The ball-droid and the light-broadsword look just silly. Also, I know this is just a teaser, but really, could we not get voiceover by Hamill or Ford? See a glimpse of one of the known characters? Something that would make me feel like I'm watching the real thing.

I did not even read your post or look at the video.

Does it look like it can end up being Mass Effect 3 ending bad with the entire internet enraged with so many articles and forum threads bitching about it and snobby movie reviewers like Honest Trailers, Cinemasins, and Nostalgia Critic and AVGN bashing it like its even worse than the prequals?

Doesn't look as bad as EP I-III. The blade of the lightsaber looked like it was built by a n00b though. I've never seen a laser twitching around on its edges :/

Thats how afriad I am of this movie. Star Wars is inbeded in the Nostalgia of all Gen X people that grew up in the 80s. It is the quintissential movie of Generation X. And Guardians of the Galaxy is a celebration of Generation X guys. (I am gen Y here born in 1992)

This movie ending up being worse than the prequals could end up being worse than Mass Effect 3 ending scandal that it can destroy the internet.

(OK mabye I am exaggerating but still)

Watched it a few times already. I'd give it about a 5 out of 10. Just kinda... meh. I love the practical, dirty look being brought back to SW. The troopers in the landing craft, the X Wings, Sith guy marching around beyond the wall, all of that was pretty cool. But no Luke, Han, or Leia? Not even a brief shot of Chewie? If that teaser is any indication, they seem intent on focusing much more on the newer characters. Still, kinda disappointing to not see any characters from the iconic center of SW. If it wasn't for the MF flying around and the John Williams music you'd have a hard time recognizing what movie franchise is being promoted.

Wasn't a bad teaser, just kinda average. I was hoping to be blown away and was prepared to be devastated. Instead it was just so-so. So-so doesn't make me excited. So-so should SO not be how to feeling about SW.
Ok...the broad sword looked stupid..but the rest looked alright.

My feelings exactly. It's Star Wars- good or bad, it's supposed to be big, to be special. Bland and average is what SW never was, even the prequels. Sure, they sucked, but still they sucked in their own special way. And the trailers for those movies still looked exciting, even though the movies failed so badly.

I'm even more surprised at this when I look back at the first Abrams Star Trek movie teaser. It had zero actuall movie footage, and still felt unique and interesting. This is over a minute of the new movie, and it's just... meh.

It makes the Jurassic World trailer look better in comparison to be honest this looks like a flop

Don't forget that Carrie Fischer is reported to lose weight in order to reprise her role as Leia.

"Gulp"

Enough of a flop to piss off the likes of Angry Game Nerd, Nostalgia Critic, and Moviebob?

That part made me think of the Hunter Prey movie

and the low budget indie thing does not actually look any worse.

The Force Awakens? Looked more like a very hot dude waking from a nightmare.

And did I get that right?
-The Dark Side blah blah bla (Sith looking guy walks in a snowy forest.)
(Cut.)
-And the Light
(Millennium Falcon flies around.)
So is Han Solo now a Jedi?!

Yes it's probably his annoying child or a passenger but that montage is, ahem, teasing.

Edit: Aha! I wondered what feeling I got from that teaser and I think it sort of feels a bit like Starship Troopers. I love that film.

Hopefully it's just a mediocre teaser for what will be a great movie. I'm not sure if I've got another 6 years in me for constant SW sorrow. After 3 garbage prequels and and a mountain of godawful novels, it's high time SW made a comeback. I just hope it isn't too late to bring it back from the dark side.
How about we all take a step back and realize this is a teaser and by no means a way to judge the movie yet.
