morolf: Ok, but the point remains that there's not much reason to care about Alderaan...we had never seen it before its destruction, so it all remains pretty abstract.
And apart from Vader, the empire doesn't feel that threatening, the storm troopers are comically inept with their inaccurate blaster rifles.
Your argument was about Empire being evil, not threatening. Those are two different categories.

Alderaan being stuffed into fridge for the drama effect isn't trope particular to the Star Wars either, and by your logic, why should I care for Loki and alien dudes (Cithauri?) attacking New York or SkyNet destroying human civilization in Terminator? I've never saw it before in the movie, why should I care if something happens to it?

tremere110: Keep in mind that Kylo Ren is a Skywalker, this could be a movie about his redemption.
I thought he was a Solo? Unless last names are typically inherited from the mother's side of the family in the setting.
Who cares about a new trailer for a trash film as described in the OP? Star Wars has been a steaming pile of manure starting with every film that was released after the original trilogy. That will always continue to remain the case.

Judicat0r: Edit: so no, no SW for me from now on until KK, RJ, Story group and other people will have a say in the creative process of the movies.

Starmaker: It's either "while KK, etc... have a say" (or "as long as KK, etc... have a say") or "until KK, etc... don't have a say". No future tense, and mind the negatives.
The moar you know!
It's "more", not "moar".

Anyway, I have enjoyed episodes 7 and 8, though there are two things that would make episode 9 better:
1.More terrestrial action. I felt like too much of episode 8 took place in space vehicles, and I would have liked to see more of the planets. Also, when the movie finally went to the planet, it felt like it should have already been over, seeing as the movie had went on long enough, and the scene before could have worked as an ending to the movie. (Remember, this is the middle movie of the trilogy, so like with episode 5 there's no need to resolve every plot thread.) (Episode 7 didn't have this issue, as enough of that movie took place on the planet.)
2. Less switching between scenes. I would rather see the events in one place play out for a while rather than have the scene constantly switch.

Edit: Added point 2, and the final parenthetical comment to point 1.

TFA and Solo were pretty good, actually.

It's because Star Wars was kids movie (good one, but still essentially for kids and teenagers). So they didn't went with full blood and gore and grit, as say in Sin City or Game of Thrones.

Yes. He was Solo, but the movie will reveal that he is also a Skywalker.

We know he has Skywalker blood through Leia, but Leia never even used that last name, and then she married a Solo who sired him, so he can't be a Skywalker.
I am pretty sure Kylo Ren is Jubbu Jaffa's mother, and R2D2 and 3CPO are a gay couple.

Who the fuck is 3CPO?

It will be revealed in the next movie. Stay tuned.
And why the flip is the TIE Interceptor trying to ram her down... instead of you know.. shooting her with it's freakin lasers?!? It looks fooking idiotic, and once again shows the creators have no clue whatsoever of military tactics.
For me, nothing in the teaser hints that the TIE is truly hunting Rey.
It could be Ben Solo-Skywalker training his cousin Rey Jade-Skywalker to jump.

In the next trailer, he will train her to avoid SSD turbolasers while blinded - she will utterly fail, but after crossing half the planet mantle she will rise out of lava with a complete set of Vader armor.

And then she will be able to destroy the 5th (or maybe 7th) death star with Palpatine clone inside, just by looking it in the vent.

We will also learn that Palpatine was Han Solo and Darth Maul daughter (but also their great grand father, as he has the Force Power of Love to Return to the Future).

Can't wait to see how many of my theories will be confirmed by the facts (hope it will be less than zero, but can't be sure, after all, we already had Jar Jar Binks and Leia's "Force Immunity to Space Void" and "Force I believe I can Fly").
So the next one will be Jar Jar Origin story.
The Return of Jar Jar - Mesa Comebeck - A "True" Star Wars Story!
I would like to see Jar Jar Binks in some kind of twisted horror Star Wars spin-off. Preferably it ends with him dying painfully.
