May the 4th come to GOG.com!

Star Wars Day™ is near, a time when the world comes together to celebrate the long, long history of a galaxy far, far away. And so it is, once again we combine forces with Lucasfilm and Disney to join in on upcoming May the 4th celebrations the way we know best: with new releases, a classic Digital Premiere, and peecha chakka no wookie boonowa tweepi Saleo. Ho, ho, ho, hooo.

What do we have in store this week?

-- Star Wars: Rebel Assault I & II - a new digital premiere. The famous live-action, FMV rail shooter returns - blast through the ranks of the Galactic Empire, revisit familiar movie locations, and experience the rebel assault. Both of the classic titles come in one DRM-free package for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux!

-- Collector's CD-ROM editions of: Star Wars™ X-Wing and Star Wars™ TIE-Fighter. The space-flight simulators finally become complete exclusively on GOG.com. The Collectors Edition, often considered the absolute re-release, combines upgraded graphics with the classic MUSE sound system, and a refined flight engine. It's a free upgrade to all of you that own it, and comes with every new purchase as well.

-- Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast and Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy now on GOG.com. Are these the best lightsaber swingin', force-pushin' simulators ever made? Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

-- Two big bundles, with every remaining Star Wars™ game on GOG.com:
Blaster Bundle - with 7 titles including the upgraded Star Wars X-Wing & TIE-Fighter series, and more Lucasfilm games brought back into the digital world from old CDs and dusty floppy disks.
Saber Bundle - with 10 games at a flat 77% off, including Star Wars Battlefront II, Knights of the Old Republic I & II, the two Dark Forces games, and our two new completely new releases: Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast & Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.

Grab your blaster, wield your saber, and celebrate the days counting down to May the 4th with us! The entire shebang will last until Thursday, May 7, 6:59 AM GMT.

Mauller: Damnit! I unfortunately just lost my job and this isn't in the new budget. I hope these go on sale again, I want that Blaster Bundle so bad!
avatar
Yeshu: Hope you find something soon dude! Good luck!
Thanks for the well wishes! I hope that I do too!

JinseiNGC224: I can't wait to see what's released by the end of this celebration! ^_^

I scored all the new games and already have the other bundles games here on GOG.

Now for Shadows of the Empire! Bring it on!
Yep! I am praying that Shadows of the Empire is eventually released (sooner than later, but all the same).
Also Episode One Pod Racer would be great. Otherwise, all of my favorites are here (Dark Forces, Republic commando,
Jedi Knight:Outcast &Jedi Academy as well as the X-Wing/Tie Fighter series (hoping for the B-wing expansion pack).

silentxero: (hoping for the B-wing expansion pack).
"B-Wing" is included in all the versions available on GOG.
So glad for these 2 promos!

I never played a Star Wars game in my life (PC or Console), but i bought the Light Saber pack to try the KOTOR games at some point in time.
I deliberately avoided buying the Humble Bundle bundle a few months back, cause i knew the KOTOR games didn't work on Steam.

I also made a research on the LucasArts/Star Wars games subject and it seems there were 40 games released for Windows and MS-DOS. According to this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LucasArts_games

Some expansions we already have here are not mentioned in this list.
Anyway, we now have 20 games on GOG (with 1 title unbundled and one other including an expansion mentioned on the link above).
So we're halfway there!

Also loved that you guys added all the different versions for the Tie Fighter, X-Wing games :D.

Who would've known a few years ago??

Also can anyone tell me, why is May 4th the Star Wars Day? I saw that they're releasing HD editions of all films on that day, but i don't think this cuts it to declare it a special day...Or does it?

Haha googled the phrase, thanks :D
Does everyone else have a 4th of July? :P

Sometimes people refer to May 5th as "Revenge of the 5th". (Revenge of the Sith)

Voted! Now that we'll soon (i believe by the end of 2015) have all the Lucas Arts games here, there's only a few more Holy Grails. Aaaah GOG just gets better <3
Forcesome promo! :)
We have another Star Wars stream going on right now:
STAR WARS: Rebel Assault I + II with Flaose

Ok, I've finally decided to buy the Saber Bundle :D
Luckly the $\€ rate is a bit lower now.
Will something happen on May 4th? A new game release?
I'm wondering about that too ... personally I hope the force unleashes that day ;)
