May the 4th come to GOG.com!

Star Wars Day™ is near, a time when the world comes together to celebrate the long, long history of a galaxy far, far away. And so it is, once again we combine forces with Lucasfilm and Disney to join in on upcoming May the 4th celebrations the way we know best: with new releases, a classic Digital Premiere, and peecha chakka no wookie boonowa tweepi Saleo. Ho, ho, ho, hooo.

What do we have in store this week?

-- Star Wars: Rebel Assault I & II - a new digital premiere. The famous live-action, FMV rail shooter returns - blast through the ranks of the Galactic Empire, revisit familiar movie locations, and experience the rebel assault. Both of the classic titles come in one DRM-free package for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux!

-- Collector's CD-ROM editions of: Star Wars™ X-Wing and Star Wars™ TIE-Fighter. The space-flight simulators finally become complete exclusively on GOG.com. The Collectors Edition, often considered the absolute re-release, combines upgraded graphics with the classic MUSE sound system, and a refined flight engine. It's a free upgrade to all of you that own it, and comes with every new purchase as well.

-- Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast and Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy now on GOG.com. Are these the best lightsaber swingin', force-pushin' simulators ever made? Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

-- Two big bundles, with every remaining Star Wars™ game on GOG.com:
Blaster Bundle - with 7 titles including the upgraded Star Wars X-Wing & TIE-Fighter series, and more Lucasfilm games brought back into the digital world from old CDs and dusty floppy disks.
Saber Bundle - with 10 games at a flat 77% off, including Star Wars Battlefront II, Knights of the Old Republic I & II, the two Dark Forces games, and our two new completely new releases: Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast & Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.

Grab your blaster, wield your saber, and celebrate the days counting down to May the 4th with us! The entire shebang will last until Thursday, May 7, 6:59 AM GMT.

I just noticed that from the current top 20 sellers only two are not SW titles. Crazy...
So, will we be getting more Star Wars titles on May the fourth?

I'd like to see:

Lego Star Wars: The Video Game
Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
Star Wars: Battlefront
Star Wars: Episode I: Battle For Naboo
Star Wars: Episode I: Racer
Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Star Wars: Force Commander
Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
Star Wars: Yoda Stories

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Star Wars: Force Commander
Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
The last four for me personally would be most welcome. Not much hope for the last two but still...

Anyway, any Lucasfilms games would be great, we are still missing some great ones besides SW stuff.

Why not? They are already on Steam. I don't see any reason why they couldn't be here.

So are (almost) all Assassin's Creed games and we're stuck with the black sheep of the family. =)

Seriously though, I don't know why but I always though they are too recent, that they would only be interested in releasing older stuff here (like so many others; the above example fits perfectly). Maybe it's just me. I hope it's just me. Well, my wallet doesn't, but hey, you can't please everyone...

Unlike the later Assassin's Creed games which require a Uplay account in all of their versions (retail and digital), the retail versions of both Force Unleashed games are Steamless.

Empire at War is also a recent game when compared to the other Star Wars games, but it's here alright.

Added wishlist links to Barry Woodward's list, if anyone wants to vote for those games to come here:

You're right, of course. I never really delved much into the matter (nor did I know EaW was so recent). Let's hope for some July 4 good ne... erm, I mean releases.

How good are those Episode 1 themed games?

I don't know ;D Those were just included in Barry's list and I figured I could include links to their respective wishlist entries, if anyone cares to vote for them ;)

Racer is the bee's knees and I had some good fun with Phantom Menace, too. Battle for Naboo also seems to be a nice alternative to Rogue Squadron.

Dude, I had to look that up. Sweet! =)
You might want to use this link for Episode I Racer since it has over 2,600 votes!

I totally agree. I especially want Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. I'm about 1/2" from pulling the trigger on Steam, but, like everyone else, would rather have it here.
