May the 4th come to GOG.com!

Star Wars Day™ is near, a time when the world comes together to celebrate the long, long history of a galaxy far, far away. And so it is, once again we combine forces with Lucasfilm and Disney to join in on upcoming May the 4th celebrations the way we know best: with new releases, a classic Digital Premiere, and peecha chakka no wookie boonowa tweepi Saleo. Ho, ho, ho, hooo.

What do we have in store this week?

-- Star Wars: Rebel Assault I & II - a new digital premiere. The famous live-action, FMV rail shooter returns - blast through the ranks of the Galactic Empire, revisit familiar movie locations, and experience the rebel assault. Both of the classic titles come in one DRM-free package for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux!

-- Collector's CD-ROM editions of: Star Wars™ X-Wing and Star Wars™ TIE-Fighter. The space-flight simulators finally become complete exclusively on GOG.com. The Collectors Edition, often considered the absolute re-release, combines upgraded graphics with the classic MUSE sound system, and a refined flight engine. It's a free upgrade to all of you that own it, and comes with every new purchase as well.

-- Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast and Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy now on GOG.com. Are these the best lightsaber swingin', force-pushin' simulators ever made? Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

-- Two big bundles, with every remaining Star Wars™ game on GOG.com:
Blaster Bundle - with 7 titles including the upgraded Star Wars X-Wing & TIE-Fighter series, and more Lucasfilm games brought back into the digital world from old CDs and dusty floppy disks.
Saber Bundle - with 10 games at a flat 77% off, including Star Wars Battlefront II, Knights of the Old Republic I & II, the two Dark Forces games, and our two new completely new releases: Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast & Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.

Grab your blaster, wield your saber, and celebrate the days counting down to May the 4th with us! The entire shebang will last until Thursday, May 7, 6:59 AM GMT.

ReynardFox: The Force Unleashed on May the 4th plz.
Why not today! I really want to play those games.
I rather think that the next star wars are star wars racer and star wars episode 1 The Phantom Menace a game.
The only thing I can think of that makes sense is that perhaps GOG has a contractual obligation to not sell any game for less that X%, and that when all X are minimized simultaneously, X has weighted average 63%. So the smallest is X is 50%, but 63% is the only number that matters because there's no partial discount scaling. It's not worth advertising the 50% because it plays no role for the buyer at all.

That's all speculation, but it's the only thing I can come up with that even makes sense.

Yeah, I think the same. And maybe ... maybe ... Shadows of the Empire ;)
great luck as Shadows of the Empire

The Force Unleashed is still too recent

GOG doesn't stand for Good Old Games anymore, so age of a video game shouldn't matter.
the game is 6 year old (7 for consoles) ... i wouldn't call that "too recent" ;)

I'm off to purchase KOTOR 2 (I have, and enjoy KOTOR 1), and Jedi Academy.
Thank you all at GOG, I hope this will take me back to when I was a 6 year old watching a film new release called,
'Star Wars' (before it was changed to, 'A New Hope'.)

vanchann: The whole bundle is 37% off, but the discount is not flat. A half of the games included are 50% off. From the OP:
"Blaster Bundle - with 7 games up to 50% off"

The discount is not tempting for me, but I want only one game from the "Blaster Bundle" anyway.
I'm going to buy the "Saber Bundle" the next days though.

mothwentbad: Wow, that's really dumb and meaningless. You can't get anything 50% off a la carte. It's either X% individually, or 37% of the whole. There is no 50% off any individual item in any meaningful sense. It's the dumbest marketing I've seen in a while.
Sorry about the confusion. We wrote "up to 50%" because several of the games are 50% off when you get the whole bundle. We picked the highest discount, since there is no flat %-off across the whole bundle for us to list. Your discount might not be 37% if you already own some of the games, or it might even be 50% if you own everything but select titles. It's kind of a tough nut to communicate.

Anyway, we got rid of the percentages on the front page, and the Newspost won't mention the weird discount either. That should be a lot less misleading, and the promo page will speak for itself. ;)

thebream: Thanks - thoguh I wouldve preferred not having to buy Starfiighter to complete the sabre bundle. Should've put that into the blaster pack.

BrandeX: GOG aren't stupid, those packs are specfically divided."Saber Bundle" is the "can buy cheaper elsewhere bundled and frequent sales, if you really wanted to" pack.

"Blaster Bundle" is the "Fairly recent GOG digital exclusive games you can't get anywhere else legally even if you tried" pack.

You can see then why Blaster has less of a discount % than Saber.
Ah that explains it, cheers. Now off to play kotor 2.
I just bought the Saber bundle, feels like a great value.

Also thank you for the 3 (4) new title, I hope to see the few missing titles too, like the Episode 1 Racer.

Thanks, and May the 4th be with you!
Loving it. Any chance of getting The Force Unleashed 1 and 2. Especially the Sith Edition.
