I'm hopeful, but I'm not exactly hyping it up in my mind. At this point I'm just more curious than anything.

I find it ridiculous how people go on about it having no real singleplayer. All these games were meant to be played in multi, it doesn't matter whether they had an SP mode or not. I've got Battlefront 2 when it was released here on GOG, and I've tried its single-player bot mode and it's a bit... well... bland.

Same here, although granted it was a tad too easy to destroy the m-com station in rush mode by simply collapsing the building it was in - as in easier to do than actually bothering tp get to the box itself and doing it manually on some maps. Still, that's my favorite battlefield game mode.

I guess it being my first BF game had a factor in it, too. I've enjoyed BF 3 a fair bit, but after a while I did get tired of the love the Metro map got. That fucking subway station did get a bit tiresome. Haven't played BF4 other than its campaign during the trial period. I have tried some of the earlier BFs after the fact though, and I must say BF is a lot less fun without the whole destruction aspect. *shrug*

bf2 didn't have it and it's still my favorite MP game of all time :D

What can I say? I love to blow shit up with tanks and the like. Or make my own entrance on a building's side. No more infinite camping. ;)

The main problem with this entry is no Galactic Conquest. WTH? Galactic Conquest was the mode that pretty much made Battlefront 2. Problem is,my PC isn't powerful either but I have Battlefront 2. Yaaaay.


Buying a new one for me is out of the question.

But I think that without Galactic Conquest,the game loses a lot of what it made Battlefront 2 amazing and why most people remember and still play it.

I agree. I won't touch that game. EA messed it up. Its no where as good as second one. All they had todo was make it better and they fucked it up.

I would not touch this game even if they paid me to. No single player content whatsoever and no space combat? Oh I think I will pass.

Frankly I am really annoyed at EA and Dice for gutting a perfectly good game, tacking on a Star Wars skin over one of their crappy Battlefield games and throwing it back at us expecting us to pay full whack for a game that is a shell of what it should have been. Oh and you can bet your bottom dollar that they try to implement everything we want and make it dlc and expect us to be stupid enough to pay for it. Nah I will pass. I already own Battlefront 1 and 2, so I can play them anytime I like.

Definitely agree with you there and I was a lot skeptical of it because of that, but from what I have seen it holds up quite well. It will miss some of it's magic but it's good enough. And shame you won't join me on my crusade. Maybe when you get better rig man.
