Not going to try it, but I saw a Test Chamber about it and graphically it looks pretty good.

I'll give it a shot, though I think I'll suffer the same as a lot of people are worrying about. Took watching 1 30 min video to go from "Wow this looks and sounds awesome, it's so atmospheric' to 'Man it's really just run and gun COD style isn't it'. Mostly just worried what's left after the atmosphere wears off.

That was the droppoint mission though, who knows. While I love the weapon sounds of Star Wars and I expect great sound work from Dice it does me me wonder about weapon variety, or at least how much you'll notice the difference.

I guess the 'everyone is a trooper' thing doesn't help either. Hopefully the custom slots can significantly affect your role.

It's quite possible I'll give this a pass at full price though. Haven't even put enough time in BF4 yet and it's still going strong.

Just a few small examples.

Ion Grenades and Ion Bullets (whatever that powerup is called, I cannot remember) and a Jetpack to counter vehicles.

Personal Shield + Pulse Rifle + Thermal Grenade (or whatever that anti-infantry grenade is called) if you want to be a sniper.

Personal Shield + Thermal Grenade + Jetpack if you want to go bonkers Unreal style.

There is. :D The Beta is US only because the localisation team's main focus is the full game.

I finished pre-loading it now on my aging gaming rig, I might download the beta on the Xbone too, to see what platform gives me the best experience.

So, does it feature Jar Jar as a playable character? :P

It is a DRM game, therefore, not interested. If the game ever decides to be DRM free, then I will look at it, but not before. Best of luck in your new job.

It's a multiplayer only game though so is that really relevant? Even if it ever came to GOG it would require Galaxy client + login to play it.

No single player? Then really not interested. I was not aware if was multi only. Thanks for letting me know.

Almost done pre-loading. I'm looking forward to giving it a try tomorrow, although my lappie may just have a heart attack. Yeah, this is mostly about testing to see whether my current PC can even handle the game well enough.
