Very sad and utterly surprising news. I know some hate the new movies, but I think even among those who dislike them so much, most would agree that mr. Yelchin did a great job taking over the role of Chekov. he seemed like a very talented and nice man. A pity we won't see him in more movies.

I'm indifferent to him as an actor, but that's pretty young.
And what a way to go.

I'm not being silly here but evidently he ran over himself.
That's not a joke and shouldn't be construed as one. A freak accident to be sure.
Hm, I don`t know who Anton Yeltsin was, but it`s always sad when somebody dies in such a young age. :-(
It's always sad when people die. Also stuff like that makes me terrified. You can go one with your day and just forget one thing or make one wrong step and nothing can help you.

I came across him in Miami doing a movie promotion.

He was super arrogant and talked in a condescending tone.

Plus he had a thing for vodka. Maybe he was drunk when this accident happened.

He will be replaced by other actors and forgotten in no time.
Awful news. :(

I really liked him acting, I think 2/3 of the last few movies I posted in the 'what is this movie' thread have starred him actually (Odd Thomas, Fright Night reboot.)

Thought he'd go on to high places. Tragic.

from what i read due to unknown causes his car rolled down the front drive and crushed him against a brick mailbox
most likely the parking break wasnt secured
Very sad. He was great this year in Green Room.

I just did.

It really seems there isn't a thread nowadays on this forum safe from some from people like that.

Which makes it all the more tragic and a stark reminder of how delicate life is.

He played Reece in one of the Terminators too. He got Michael Beihn's mannerisms down pat. It was great. And yes, I was evidently the only one who liked that particular Terminator.

That's because you're very special :)

Still, though I thought Salvation sucked it definately wasn't his fault. Really, I don't think it was any of the actors fault, everyone did at least a decent job. The movie managed to somehow suck around them, despite them.
