Treasure: Anyways, I'm posting here to thank you for these scripts, as I've fully transitioned to Linux Mint 18.1 Mate in the meanwhile, so if I wish to play these games, these scripts will come in handy. Only thing that might prove a problem is that I have Mesa 12.0.6, and in the thread Lin545 mentioned something about Mesa having a problem, but I guess by the time I get around to trying the scripts, the problem might be resolved.
I recommend using the Padoka Stable Mesa PPA, it should be quite safe to use (and I've not had any problems with it on my other systems).
Andrey82: Actually, this game had one most interesting and troubled history of making. At first they was trying to make Sci-Fi game inspired by Stargate movies and TV-series (was very popular in former USSR back then along with Babylon 5 and LEXX series):

I played a little of some of the STALKER alphas that were released/leaked some time ago, those were quite interesting... would be nice if similar happened with the alpha/beta versions of SG-1: The Alliance :p
At some point there was very nice dynamic lightning, good physics and vehicles, but they had cut it out because of release deadline. Sad.
And despite the problems they had they still managed to put out a great game, and series in general :)
