Or to be more precise, it will be dead. Stadia is going to shut down on 18th January 2023, having lasted less than 4 years and will become the latest in the line to join Google's prestigious Graveyard. Good riddance.

Good
They will refund people it seems... so that's nice. :)
It was expected, though I gave it 2 years at the launch.

It has been dead for quite some time. It was just too dumb to notice...

Skyrim on GOG, Stadia dead

GOG 1 - GOOG 0.

Today DRM free wins.
How "alive" it was to this point though?
Man, I thought some Swedish princess died.
I'm surprised they are giving refunds. I remember ages ago e-mailing Microsoft about getting a refund or store credit for a game I bought on the 360 and no longer had access to. They sent me a PFO letter. Different company, different rules I guess.
[pretends to be shocked]
Wow, Skyrim is released on Gog and Gragar's avatar isn't a cat...

The world must be coming to an end!

[EDIT] Oh Stadia, yeah - saw that coming a mile away.

It has been useless anyway. But I respect the decision to provide full refunds.

Bandwidth requirements and lag alone say it wouldn't work. Gaming outside of a LAN just isn't going to work with that type of thing.
And nothing of value lost. Perhaps this will make other corporations think twice about the whole "streaming is teh future of gaming" nonsense.
Hey man, it's only dying because no one believed in it! If everyone simply used Stadia as their storefront, it would've been king by now! Long live the king!

...

Pahahaha. As if everyone didn't see it coming.
