There are workarounds.
what a long survey.

pacciulli: what a long survey.
It was, and a fair bit of it was "Where should we spend our advertising dollars?" and "How much do you enjoy these methods of squeezing more money from our customers?"
Finished survey and mentioned that I like only DRM-free games. :)

Workarounds aren't according to the rules. I like following the rules (maybe it's my ASS speaking - not that bum down below me, but my Autistic Spectrum Stoornis (or in English: Disorder)).

Cool! I'll be giving it a spin. I hope squenix will put in as much effort into listening, as much as they did setting the survey questions up.
Yep, indeed a long survey, 15 min my ass if you answer properly. But like weighing in, so why not? :)

And yeah, nasty that the sweepstakes are for US and territories and Canada (bar Quebec) only, but whatever.

And yep, stressed wherever I could, DRM-free is mandatory, also either no regional pricing or at most, though this can in no way be fair either, some discounts for poorer regions and the same price for all the rest, and release full games, no loads of later DLC or included microtransactions, and please make games with PC in mind, not just also ported to PC but actually designed for it, and aimed at pure single player. Not that any company would care for that anymore, but...
Thanks for bringing this survey to our attention. Everyone needs to tell Square-Enix to put their games on GOG.com!
That PC or Gog.com choice is a bit confusing tho..

And I'm not sure about how to rank some companies.

Actually, all of it was what you said, plus "what franchise should we spit another game from next?". Anything that wasn't multiple choice will not be read (who has time to read thousands of free-form text boxes, anyway? The best you can expect is some sort of word count summary).

The fact that DRM-free wasn't a response and gog only warrants a confusing brief mention (as mentioned above, gog is a store, not a platform or steam key reseller) means all of your (and my) effort was wasted.

Not confusing if you look at the others. They mean software clients, so wrongly list Galaxy as GOG.com. PC is for no client software used. Or none of those listed.
And don't rank, it's a skippable question. And they say rank at most 5 (if I remember right) even if you do anyway.

fronzelneekburm: I'm in the middle of the survey and I feel like such a dinosaur. Sure, I can beg them for moar gog plz all I like, but it's painfully obvious from the survey that I'm clearly not their target audience. It's a brutal clash of cultures: my still-stuck-in-the-mid-90s gaming sensibilities VS that thing that gaming has become since then. Most of the questions do offer one or two answers that seem to cater to my sensibilities, but then I get a question like the one in the attachment and all I can say is "I'm getting too old for this shit"

The games industry truly is in a dark place right now...
I found it positive there were questions like that as it seems SE is actually wondering how much there are gamers who don't (want to) buy cosmetic stuff and DLCs for games, or are still interested into buying some of SE's older catalog.

So those questions is your possibility to vote, to make yourself heard. After all, most game publishers didn't believe there's money to be made from old games, but I guess GOG (and some others) proved them wrong.
My answer to the last question was "DRM = no buy".

Hope someone reads this at all...
Ill at ease each time I must rate EA, or mention it amongst significant companies.

I love EA... but, to me, it's a small company that made excellent very early games on the Amiga. That's what the name first evokes to me. And then I must remember what is named EA nowadays. And specify that I don't mean that thing.
