ariaspi: Thanks for the free game, Team17 and GOG! Finally a game which was sitting on my wishlist. :)
Same here! Thank you very much Team17 and GOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am aware the game is not 100% as planned (many reviews complain how the devs promised the modding support but it was never finished), but it was still on my wishlist.
Good to see more strategy games becoming giveaways on GOG. :D

Thank you!

A bundled SDK allows you to build pre-packaged mods, adding anything from new names, to plugging in full-blown systems in native C/C++.
A C-native game? My turn to get blown away...
high rated

Thanks for the game GOG, Team17 and Warpzone Studios, but there is any chance to get the latest update?

BreOl72: Quote from the game's page:
"Modding
Want to bring your own spin to Hammerting? The game has been built with modding in mind! A bundled SDK allows you to build pre-packaged mods, adding anything from new names, to plugging in full-blown systems in native C/C++. Documentation, additional hooks, and general support for this is something we plan for after Early Access."
Also from the game's page -- from the most recent review (by glennimaus), from December:
And the most important lie in the description:
"Want to bring your own spin to Hammerting? The game has been built with modding in mind!" - NO, IT IS NOT![...]

There's no SDK, no modding tools and based on a report from a programmer, the game is coded in a way that makes it especially difficult, if not outright impossible, to mod.

kultpcgames: [...] but then BenKii gets it for the giveaway, in case anyone misses this giveaway.
Remember, everyone, that there's another thread that, IMO, works better for giving away this sort of promo code.

If that's the case, it sure sucks for those interested in modding.
I'm not a modder, and I can only state what the game's description says (also haven't installed it yet).

shrug

Edit: I'm also not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.

mqstout: I didn't hate this game... But I found Craft The World much, much better.
Thanks for adding that opinion. I'd been looking at Craft the World but didn't make a decision on it (I've owned Hammerting for awhile but hadn't booted it up yet).

Could I ask... what did you like more about Craft the World?
Ah, Hammerting... brings back memories.

GOG is SHIT
Thank you for the freebie, GOG!

I felt progress/goals happened better, and the graphics didn't interfere with play. I recall Hammerting having more issues with vertical movement. I had high hopes for Hammerting, but they didn't last too long in play.
Thanks for the free game, Warpzone Studios, Team17, and GOG!
Hammerting was once on my wishlist, now I got for free, very nice. :)
Thanks a lot for the freebie to all partys involved, and happy eastern holidays to you all!
nice, thanks for the giveaway for poor lost soul like me who have human trash parents they are so useless unable to give us anything since we are a kid , that man failed so hard as a father figure i have no idea what that guy was thinking
Another 3/5 games where the user-reviews say it is a Big Buggy Mess.

Thank you?
