IronArcturus: I just hope the next sale won't be an "insomnia" sale! :P
Have you seen the last two lines of the OP of the "Store Your Card for Later" thread?

"We hope the feature turns out to be particularly useful soon, when you may just feel compelled to click really, really fast."

I was hoping that was referring to their "Tower Bundle" type of sales. They both had timers but the tower bundles showed multiple deals at once. :P

Perhaps. Though, IIRC, they had something like six- or twelve-hour timers. Hardly really, really fast.
If the Insomnia sales didn't work, GOG wouldn't continue to have them. I won't participate simply b/c no time for gaming (other than keeping an eye of how fast some games sell, for curiosities sake), but many people, even on these forums, seem very interested in having more Insomnia sales in the future.
Love that short...what a creepy little sprite. :-)
Proper discount for NWN series pl0x. -.-
I still love the Insomnia sales, but I probably won't be participating in it too much if does come back around. So many games on wishlist, yet so many games in my backlog, augh.
I trawled through the entire game list to see what might be available during the sale, and while I still have more than a few games on my wishlist, they're mostly new adds, which probably means they won't be discounted in this sale. My wallet thanks the fates for that.
Having said that, though, I'll probably still make a few impulse buys just because I'm caught up in the "excitement", and I'll be on the forums reading (and possibly making) comments.
With the hint, as long as GOG don't go the same way as Steam and make a crap clicker game, I'll be fine. ;)
A clicker game with an actual incentive *cough* free games! *cough* - that I'd get carpal tunnel syndrome for! :D

IronArcturus: Does anyone remember the date of the last GOG Spring Sale?

march 20 today, i guess we wont be having anything now , even steam has a ? behind it (google)
they (steam) do seem to have planned a Summer sale, Autumn and Winter sale, cant find anything about a spring sale
so i guess we have to wait a while.

my 'wallet' is relaxing, not much releases i liked or that i could play (pc requirements), so if springsale would be skipped this year, my 'wallet' might gather some dust, and since most retail casualgames (cd/dvd) always arrive after the summer, there wont be much to get from those aswell, i checked steam sales ( the 50 cent games) and nothing is on sale that i like, not even new games, gamersgate only has steamgames, no new drm free games arrived for a very long time, so i guess there wont be much shopping anywhere these months.
So its time to start playing some of the previous games i bought.

My guess is sometime before April... I'd keep an eye on next week.
no insomnia this year, gog is going down the drain
Tomorrow we shall know: if there's no new Weekly Staff Picks, prepare your wallets and your sleep-deprivation drugs as we will be entering Insomnia-land on Tuesday (after this weekend's deals expire).
Oh Praise be upon Jack Keane, deliver us from this Evil!
I have a question about that insomnia sale everyone is talking about since I never seen one before, as far as I understood it's games are sold with a high discount but only a limited number of those games.
Assuming you put one of those games in the cart is it "reserved" then or could it happen that I want to pay and suddenly the store says too late it's gone?

As soon as they get in the cart I assume they're reserved.
At least that's how it worked with me.
