I played Torchlight a few years ago and I thought it was really fun, although it was not well-balanced. The different character classes didn't seem even in terms of overall strength. Also the difficulty curve was a bit weird (most of the game was fairly easy and then the last little bit was absurdly difficult). But it's still worth playing if you want a fun hack-and-slash game without a deep story.

It doesn't suck. It's quite fun. For a while. I love story in games, though, so by the end I was a bit fed up of the hacking and slashing. But it's a fun game with tons and tons and tons of loot. Really. I used a mod that added 20 extra chests or something like that, and they were still filling up with loot...

It's a bit RPG-ish in the sense you have attributes, lots of loot, and then you have more special abilities. But it's not an actual RPG as there is zero roleplaying.

Maybe this doesn't sound wonderful, but I did enjoy for a number of hours. Just got a bit too repetitive towards the end of the game. Well, it can actually go on for ever, but I mean towards of the main dungeon (there is another one with neverending levels).

Man, you know what bites about the "free games" part of the sale? I didn't realize you had to click "buy now" to have a chance at getting the game for free. I thought it'd just show up for each person as "claim for free" or something instead of "Buy now." Didn't realize that until today, haha. Might be my fault though. This is a great sale!

Torchlight is pretty good, and certainly does not suck. The one and only true negative I can say for it, it has no multiplayer. Which, in a dungeon crawling lootfest, is kind of the whole point depending on your point of view.

Wow, not many games went while I was sleeping. Dang Inquisitor managed to sneakily slip past me but I woke up in time for Shelter and managed to get one of the last 10 copies just in time! W00t! Funny thing is some noise woke me out of my slumber and I sat there for a few seconds and then thought "GOG!!!" and bolted out to see what game was up and snarfed it up. LOL Addict? No way, I can stop at any time! LOL
