Kamamura: Anyone cares for a quick review of Smugglers? Is it worth playing?

I know it probably cures cancer and rescues lost relatives, but... seriously.
No it doesn't, but for every game downloaded a Justin Bieber fan gets killed by a Nordic black metal fan.

Kamamura: Heroine Quest used to be available non-steam, direct installation too, strange they removed it.

Never mind, here is a link to slightly older, but playable 1.1.1 version. Actually, I finished the 1.0 version without problems:

Red_Frog: You are a gentleman and a scholar, I would give you three pluses if I could. I tried to search for a non-steam version but hadn't been successful thus far.
The force is with him.. Thanks for sharing, after the trailer i think i'll give it a try

PS: Because of the viking theme: anyone already played banner saga?
the design and story seems really apealing also the reviews
but i have enough in the backlog to wait a little more maybe until weather will be once more colder

wait, then there will be the autumn insomnia
I'm actually thinking about booting up my first game bought in this sale...

I know! Crazy right?

Alien8n: I'll be more specific, pocket calculator
avatar
vulchor: Was it something written by Jack Kilby?
No, someone has mentioned it earlier. Jack Kilby invented a handheld calculator, but it wasn't small enough for a pocket.

I tried banner saga, it's quite likable, the art is superb, the oregon's trail style of gameplay not so much. Still, 8 out of 10 in my book.

They probably need a lot of copies of Smugglers in Nigeria right now then.... too soon?

But seriously, this game is actually a lot of fun. It sat on my shelf for a long time, but I finally first played it a few weeks ago and fell in love! There is so much detail, and some of the game play is very reminiscent of MoO. Very fun and well thought-out. Seriously, there is a lot of detail to it. The combat could use a little less randomness, but still very fun.

Red_Frog: + for that, looks good. I will not install Steam for any reason though, so here's a wish if anybody is interested. I just added my vote!

Maybe because of the traffic, nearly 400 MB download.

There are currently 312 unemployed Nordic black metal fans seeking gainful employment as Justin Bieber fan killers.

Khajiin: I heared a rumor that whoever buys 300 copies of smuggler might become the next president .. anyone willing to give it a try?
God, no. I don't want to live my life having half the country like me and half the country dislike me based on the direction I swipe the knife when I butter my waffles. Not to mention the fact that I chose waffles over pancakes, that I had pancakes last week means nothing to you fickle bastards!

eiii: Right. :P I'm still reading up the part I missed during my sleep. Great Community! I'm a slow typer and not a fan of forums at all. I hate it when I type something into my browser, than press a wrong button, anything is gone and I have to re-type it ... So I usually avoid forums. But this one is fun. Not sure if it's because of gamers or because of DRM free minded people, probably because of both of it. Thanks to all the people here providing infos, answers and statistics, also the free mini English lessons, I enjoy all of it. And I'm impressed by the gifting culture here. I'm afraid I'll have to come back, even when this sale is over. :P

HypersomniacLive: If I may make a suggestion - in case your browser is Firefox, Chrome, Safari or a fork of those you can install the Lazarus add-on, it auto-saves as you type in web-forms and provides easy recovery.
Thanks for the link, meant to search for something like that for ages, but usually forget until the next hindsight

Tekkaman-James: Alien 8 for the Sinclair ZX81!
YES! (Except it was the Speccy)

A game that defined a new genre at the time with isometric 3d maps, a style that lived on right through to the Baldur's Gate series.

A noble profession, to say the least.
