Red_Frog: + for that, looks good. I will not install Steam for any reason though, so here's a wish if anybody is interested. I just added my vote!
Heroine Quest used to be available non-steam, direct installation too, strange they removed it.

Never mind, here is a link to slightly older, but playable 1.1.1 version. Actually, I finished the 1.0 version without problems:

It's a game. It was for a home computer built by the same bloke who invented the calculator.

Legally speaking, there's no such thing as abandonware, and even then, the fact that it can be bought here means it isn't abandonware by any definition of that word.
