sllyther1: Quick question, can the Trine 2 from GoG play co op with steam users? I've got a friend who has the steam version
This as been asked before and no body really answered, so I'll try:

I really don't know for sure, but I'd assume that it does. If it comes with a multiplayer key of anykind, that its sure to work. You might want to check out the game's subforum for a more positive answer:

Thanks for replying, actually I was sweating a bit wondering whether to get my steam friend a GoG version but I checked steam's trine 2 and it has Cross-Platform multiplayer!
Very happy about that

Kaitu: During the fall sale I'm pretty sure everyone was losing their minds. Thankfully this time was more streamlined.

foxworks: Losing their minds and lighting the forums on fire ;)
36,500+ posts in less than a week. No big deal. :-D

txdm000: SO WHO CAN CALL THE NEXT ONE?
avatar
cmdr_flashheart: Sam and Max something.
I see what you did there. :)

Glad to be of what little help I could, and thanks for sharing that you find out definitively, so that we can answer it truthfully the next time someone asks. I hope you and your friend have a lot of fun playing it, and maybe if you had a good experience here you can show your Steam friend how great of a place GOG is. =)

HypersomniacLive: Please remove this link, that's not a reputable source for old games.
You should probably edit your post too then, to remove the link in the quoted post. ;)

avatar
FoxySage: You and HypersomniacLive should probably remove the link from your quoted posts too. :Else it doesn't really help that much. :D

Stilton: My entire message has been removed.
Guess you ninja'd me while i typed out my post. :P

Ophelium: How far have you gotten with that exactly? You said you had 187, if I recall correctly (If I'm wrong, blame the sparse sleep).
Cannot remember myself, or how far back we discussed that... (I am assuming we are talking about the wishlist), so just checked, and.... it is now down (or up) to 113 (I think up as I think the last time I counted it was under 100).

For now I have given up trying to keep up with the playing (wish RL would just get out of the way!) and now just focus on the collecting for that elusive goal. Been tied up with a couple of personal non-GOG gaming projects, one of them reading CRPGAddict's blog and discovering just how many old RPGs have yet to make an appearance here. In some ways, reading his play-throughs it almost feels like I am playing the game by proxy. I make more progress that way than by actually playing the games! XD

vulchor: When I have time I'll dig into it further, the few articles I'm still reading on it make it seem even worse than I first thought, especially after finding out that W3C has made it even easier to add DRM to content in HTML5, thereby further legitimizing its existence.
What do you expect when the music industry has taken seat in the W3C, hasn't they?

FoxySage: Speaking of 3.5" floppy disks. I still have my old disks for Settlers 1 and Civilization.
3.5"? I still have 5.25" floppies with King's Quest V. Those were the real floppy disks :P

But I just purchased the KQ IV-V-VI set in this Spring Insomnia anyway :)
So, I'm going to be going to bed in the next 2 hours or so, and I decided to get one more game -- Etherlords 2. Is there a way that I could arrange for some one to buy a copy and then I give them something in trade. The only thing I really have to trade would be a GOG key for Divine Divinity, a Steam For Nuclear Dawn, a Gamer's Gate code for Achron, and Starvoid.

Still I don't know how to set up a trade, and I'm sure someone would be interested in those items. if someone could help me out here I'd appreciate it.
If Torchlight doesn't come out in the next hour or so, could someone buy a gift copy and save it for me? I've got a gift copy of Trine 2 to offer in return.

Tarnicus: The next one will be... *drum roll*

19. Driftmoon - 100% off ($0.00) - 001

And it has Melhelix's name on it! You've been wanting this for a sleepless eternity, so enjoy :)
avatar
Melhelix: Thank you so very much Tarnicus! I am truly in your debt.
Yes according the sale price of my prediction for Driftmoon, you owe me the princely sum of US$0.00. Now given I'm in Australia, I'd like a decent exchange rate please, so the current one of 1.00 USD = 1.06707 AUD isn't to my liking, I'd like at LEAST 1.08 AUD.

So a little mathematics means that's... *inputs figures on calculator*

AU$0.00000! (rounded to 5 decimal places to maintain accuracy)

madeaj: Trine 2 is so pretty, I wish I liked platformers.
I only have bought it because of that. Not sure if I will like it when I play it.
