HypersomniacLive: I'm afraid so, had 2-3 more I was thinking of getting, but a I'm forced to use that money to cover part of my water bill that arrived today in my mailbox. :(
What were you after?

Ungunbu: you have my public gratitude -- after all seems like begging multiple times pays -- LOL :p
It definitely doesn't. Let me illustrate:

Scenario 1: Continually beg and maybe get a few games('a few' could be 10, 20, etc), give nothing back and become known as a leech. Sure do what others do, create multiple accounts, manipulate rep and make that your "game". It's quite a lonely one and you'll "get" what you've asked for, i.e a bunch of codes to games that don't have much tangible value(depending on your values in life).

Scenario 2: Participate in discussions(which I've seen you do) helping others where you can, grabbing games for them when you are able to and being part of a community. Notice how many newcomers from this sale have said "Wow I've never seen an online community like this!" and words to a similar effect. There is a reason for that. This community has been built with love, starting with those who created GOG and the wonderful members the nature and purpose of this site attracted, which was to provide a service for DRM free games(originally resurrecting the classics on modern machines and continuing to support them) at a reasonable price. It was created due to a LOVE of gaming. That fostered and nurtured this community. Becoming an active member of this community(and I've had a few breaks for months but for some reason people remember me...) is worth FAR more than you'll ever get from begging for a few games.

The choice is yours :)

I understand that there are language and cultural differences with members on this site and that can lead to confusion about what is "appropriate" (differs from person to person) but I can guarantee you that already you've rubbed people up the wrong way by continuing to beg and then revelling in your "loot".

NOOB POST ALERT (you've been warned)

I know when I see someone say "+1" in a post, it has to do with the reputation score, but this is all new to me... Can anyone grant a reputation point to someone else? Say, for example, that I'm appreciative (because I am) toward the five or so people that have been posting updated lists of what's been seen and what's yet to come throughout this event. Can I award a +1 to them, or is it something that takes some admin-type to do?

donsanderson: Just click the + button in the top right of their post.
Enough people do this and they gain a rep point. ;)
Thanks... so I guess I should be hitting "+" ... I can't imagine going back through six thousand posts... lol

*looks at Democracy 3 hmmmm*

Alien8n: I understand a lot of coffee shops and fast food outlets have started doing "+1s" where you buy 2 items and have 1, the other then going into a "bank" for homeless and needy people. Best one I heard was the dry cleaners that clean suits for free if you're unemployed.
Yep, it originates in Italia and is becoming increasingly popular here as well (slowly, but surely).

donsanderson: Went to WalMart today to get a new television.
They're having a big sale.
I don't have any money so I picked one out,
and started asking people in the store if they would buy it for me.
The manager came over and...........................

Oh never mind.
<3 hippies Detective Don! lol
If you decide to buy a game to gift someone do you just email yourself the key and pass the key to them?

When you rate a post (+ or -) it gives the +1. Hover over the top right side of a message to make the rate post buttons show up.

Yeah, I know it's one of the more expensive games (still, under $10) but it's the one game my daughter really wants. Plus I checked my balance earlier, I'm more than good for it :)

I think you put it better than Jmich did last night. Thank you :)

Tag it as a gift during the purchase process, a key is then posted on your game's 'gifts' tab. There you can copy/paste the key and send it in a PM rather than e-mail :) Hope that helps!
