vulchor: +1 good sir, very kind.
thank you, that's kind of the spirit around here right and I wanted to participate in it.

donsanderson: Went to WalMart today to get a new television.
They're having a big sale.
I don't have any money so I picked one out,
and started asking people in the store if they would buy it for me.
The manager came over and...........................

Oh never mind.

jdjones1966: They didn't have a gifting aisle you could visit instead of asking in the main store? :)
I understand a lot of coffee shops and fast food outlets have started doing "+1s" where you buy 2 items and have 1, the other then going into a "bank" for homeless and needy people. Best one I heard was the dry cleaners that clean suits for free if you're unemployed.
I am at my parent's place where they have internet. At my own place I lost internet due to neighbour's moving out. How am I going to get my new games back to my place. I know I got two microSD cards. 1x 2, 1x4 gb and one 8 gb usb stick. It's going to be tough.
Hammerwatch co-op: does each player need a purchased copy to play?

1) get a screw driver

2) take out your parents hard drive :D

3) go home with it

4) pretend it was a robbery if asked :3

NOOB POST ALERT (you've been warned)

I know when I see someone say "+1" in a post, it has to do with the reputation score, but this is all new to me... Can anyone grant a reputation point to someone else? Say, for example, that I'm appreciative (because I am) toward the five or so people that have been posting updated lists of what's been seen and what's yet to come throughout this event. Can I award a +1 to them, or is it something that takes some admin-type to do?
anything good I missed?, last seen was gomo, and don't see an updated list

HypersomniacLive: A got caught up with the news on Mozilla/ Firefox caving into DRM.

This is the article I read regarding it. Very disappointing.

Stilton: Is SiN Gold any good (be honest - I'll only buy one copy...)
avatar
Red_Frog: I've never played SiN for any great length of time. The most I recall from when it came out was the pixel precise sniper rifle, which was quite an accomplishment for video games at the time. So, if you like sniper rifles you might pull the trigger.
Thanks for the info. Its a bit of a shot in the dark (to continue the gun motif). Tempting, but I think I'll give it a miss. I know that means a longer wait for the next game, but I'm a man of principle, dammit!
is it possible for someone to catch stronghold for me? payback on paypal?

How many games did you get? You could use something like 7zip or WinRAR to contain them in split archives which would probably give you the most efficient use of space. Either that or burn off a few DVDs.
high rated

IAmSinistar: Or two. Check your PMs. :s
Oh mate, check yours!

foxworks: Awesome, is that everything from this sale?
I'm afraid so, had 2-3 more I was thinking of getting, but a I'm forced to use that money to cover part of my water bill that arrived today in my mailbox. :(

Just click the + button in the top right of their post.
Enough people do this and they gain a rep point. ;)

That's really cool that those establishments are offering to people in need, without the recipient soliciting for something. That's the spirit of gifting IMO...
