poo_pony: I ended up getting Papers, Please from that other place (yes I mean Humble Store) at +$2.67 more than here because I didn't realize then that it'd be back here for another round. Thanks thread, don't know what we'd do without you. If you can get it, do: it's not so much "fun" as a game but an interesting, emotional experience.

I'm hoping that I can be around for FTL's "last chance" because it's been on my wishlist a long time.

Now that you mention it, I probably have Steam keys for some games that I got in past bundles and should try to gift away.

Hope I'm not offending anyone by talking about the competitors. I agree the community here, and the egalitarian core values of GOG, are what make it special.

haha maybe back in 1993 I would have enjoyed that from taking a brief look at http://videogamecritic.com/cdisz.htm but by the end of 1993 I stopped watching and er started playing more :D

infinityeight: Thanks, IAmSinistar. Hexadecimal is my favorite villain. Megabyte has that great voice and some fabulous evil schemes, but Hex is so crazy that she's just plain fun.

Yep. I heard about the ReBoot reboot. I don't know if it will be as fun as the original, but I'll give it a chance.

Tarnicus: FMV was horrid! Likewise I'm glad it is a thing of the past and agree wholeheartedly about how those games age compared to the classics you mentioned.

I fear that like most reboots it will probably shade toward gritty and edgy and lose the charm of the original. But there is still a chance it will be good, so I'm holding out hope for that.

There is one Fmv game on GOG that has nearly all 5 stars and that is Realms of the Haunting, it is one of the few games where Fmv has actually worked and it is an integral part of the story not incidental plus, the game is very different for those days and the story is gripping.
