I played 7th Guest way back in tha day and remember it being pretty good. I figure a buck fiddy ain't too bad a price to see how 11th Hour stacks up.

infinityeight: Thanks, IAmSinistar. Hexadecimal is my favorite villain. Megabyte has that great voice and some fabulous evil schemes, but Hex is so crazy that she's just plain fun.

deleuz: I'm just glad FMV gaming died. These were not good games, imho, they just dazzled people by how many CDs they could ship. Bad acting, bad fmv, boring/bizarre puzzles, lackluster story, horrendous UI. In some ways, I think 7th Guest and 11th Hour are far more "dated" than games like Wasteland or Starflight.

SkeleTony: I have to agree; and I was a fan of FMV when it showed up in games like Mean Streets and such. But that is probably because I grew up with the Atari 2600 and we had a common idea that 'Maybe one day video game graphics will be like MOVIES!'.
Well, you got your wish, todays games look like movies and they suck. No depth to them at all. They look good but that is it and as far as I am concerned, they are not worth the time it took to make them.

hehe, and no offense meant to them, maybe oculus rift can bring the genre to new levels of immersion! ;P

What the hell, I bought 11th Hour as well.

Probably won't get around to playing it until I also eventually pick up 7th Guest, but it's not like I don't have enough games to choose from until then.
