foxworks: it's a must for the larger downloads :)

Tarnicus: And if you don't want to use the GOG downloader or have any issues with it, this Firefox add-on does the job brilliantly as a download manager https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/downthemall/
good to know, thanks!

Minkee23: Damn, I fell asleep for a few hours. Can you tell me how many games have been in round 3? Is this almost over?
avatar
zillatain: Over? Not. Even. Close.

00 - Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut (no more keys)
01 - Shadowrun Returns
02 - Warlords Battlecry 3
03 - Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now
04 - King's Quest 4+5+6
05 - Wasteland 1 - The Original Classic
06 - Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves
07 - Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition
08 - Vampire The Masquerade - Redemption
09 - Little Big Adventure (Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure)
10 - Alan Wake
Good! I didn't miss Uru. On the other hand, we seem to be doing more of a slow jog to the sun. Maybe a leisurely stroll to the sun.

Melhelix: I love when you can do things in games and the game actually remembers and makes references to them. One of my favorite lines ever is in the NWN HoTU expansion, "I can't help but think I'm making a deal with a devil, here, considering your reputation." Muahahah.
You should try the new Bard's Tale. The NPCs spend the entire game blaming you for everything you did wrong...

dombrewer: What was your hit rate? Manage to pick up some free games?
Yes, that'd be good, but I'm not staying up all night like I did last night... it's already 3am here, so I'm not holding out. I'll have a look again tomorrow though... ;)
I've purchased 40 or so titles and have gotten 1 free game on my 20th, ironically something I wanted as a gift for someone else rather than for me. Hopefully support make it a giftable copy :)

Wow, I fell asleep at Sang Froid, and that was over 4 hours ago! Must have been like 1000 copies of Duke Nukem that held everything up!? :)

donsanderson: For those wondering about "Keaning"?
Race the Sun is currently doing just that, though no where near as bad as Jack Keane 2 did. :-)

At this point it should be racing something slower, like a glacier perhaps.

xjay73: I drive all day for a living. Is it any surprise I can't stand to play racing games? So, sorry, I won't be adding this one to my library.

That being said... c'mon folks, you *know* you want a copy or eight of this one!
I drive all day for a living and I got Race the Sun at one of the last sales. I love racing games and in my off time I do things like drive Route 66 or road trip around the country. At the end of this month we're flying out to Omaha to drive across Nebraska so we can see Carhenge.

I'm kinda crazy like that, though.

gallahad2000: You should try the new Bard's Tale. The NPCs spend the entire game blaming you for everything you did wrong...
I have! I love it to pieces. Not quite finished with it. Only one more tower to go I think. But I have the song of the Nucklavee on my ipod. The new Bard's Tale and Brütal Legend made my personal list for favorite games just to play for laughs.

Cyberevil: As far as Ultima 4 was concerned I'd have to say that the character creation for the time was brilliant, the game was an innovation and probably deserves to be on a list of important titles.

But that being said I HATED that game. maybe I'm just too Evil or something but it just grated me, I could quickly see there wasn't going to be any way I could finish that game and feel like I was playing a character that was "me"

It DID make me load up Ultima 2 though and I went on a couple hour killing spree of Lord British himself.

"Be thou Proud?"

"yea"

"Tis not a virtue"

*Hack*
It's on just about every list there is.
Richard Garriott pretty much was the creator of 'consequences of your actions' that affect gameplay with this title.
I didn't like it till I read about it, then I was interested in it for it's amazing innovation at such an early stage of computer gaming. ;)

Good to see you Melhelix...didn't recognize you at first :D
avatar
Tarnicus: That sounds like me shooting children in the head and taking out a whole town in Fallout 2. I seemed to get a lot of joy from doing that for some macabre reason lol
avatar
Cyberevil: Ah, but since "Lord British" was supposed to be the game writer (richard garriote, something like that) I felt it was direct revenge for my failings to meet his virtues.
Richard Garriott, pioneer game designer, lives in a castle, been to space, multi-millionaire. I think with credentials like that he can handle a bit of revenge lol. You weren't the only one to envisage such revenge, and it was quite a surprise when Lord British(being played by Richard Garriott) died in his own game, Ultima Online!

Austrobogulator: Nope. BTW, it's coming up with 403 - Forbidden.
avatar
wanderer_27: With the 403, you should look in here :

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Error_loading_websites
I've just deleted cookies, changed security settings, added an extra line in about:config, etc... nothing's working.
So i did my part and bought Race the Sun. May I please I have Dragon Commander before I need to get to sleep, because I am mathematician not a programmer. I don't run on caffeine, I actually need sleep.
avatar
FoxySage: Eh, not really. Takes only about 22 minutes to download a 1.5 GB file.
avatar
foxworks: With the downloader you can resume...not so with the browser. A lot can happen in 22 min :)
I can resume the download with my browser, if needed to. :)
