LBA is taking a while, I guess a lot already have it, cause that's the only excuse to not buy it, gem of a game that one. Was one of my first when I finally got a computer with a *gasp* CD drive for "talkie" versions of games.

Garran: I find that it depends a great deal on the game. For example, Master of Magic and Master of Orion 1 look better than most of the RPGs and action games of the same era, even though they're the same on a technical level. The way they're presented in MoM/MoO makes the resolution less of an issue and they're not struggling to create a 3D-space illusion.
avatar
Tarnicus: Precisely! Master of Magic is one of those games I can easily go back to regardless of the era.
I probably play more MoO2 than anything else I've ever owned. I've always wanted them to just release it with new graphics and galaxies... It would hardly need anything else. In fact, you'd want to be careful you didn't mess it up! (though I suppose an expansion on the diplomacy might be welcomed)

Point though is that even with "bad" graphics some of those strategy games are just so good!

Conrad57: True, true!

I'm handling the sleep deprivation this way (bearing in mind that at the moment, I'm fighting a headache from last week that my be caused by repeated too-little-sleep-per-night and some dehyration).
If you sinuses are clear and you're hydrated and blood pressure is okay, then perhaps your lack of sleep has depleted your B vitamin levels. I choose food over supplements any day, but given the amount of sleep I've missed this lifetime, the following help: B vitamins for brain health, C and zinc and magnesium for healing (the latter is brilliant for cramps that are common with sleep deprivation - sunflower seeds or pistachio nuts or Epsom salts for a cheap supplement as it is magnesium sulfate)

Neverfree: Great ideas! I may just have to start chugging tea and coffee for the time being :)
Got some Licorice tea that I've never tried before...
I meant to add that licorice/star anise/fennel is a mild laxative so don't overdo that one lol
I didn't realise that I had to check my checkout screen for free games until after my purchases :/ Guess I missed out! Oh well!

I made the mistake of checking my bank balance before sleep. Yikes indeed! lol

I'm off to get lunch up the road with my girlfriend, so I might miss Aarklash if it pops up. If someone can grab a giftable copy if it does come up, that would be most appreciated as so far my efforts to have someone grab it whilst I was asleep failed.

I just broke down and got it. Great price.. not sure it is my kind of game but I do so love open worlds and it said it was that. It didn't hurt everyone here recommending it ... of course that could have been just so we could get on to the next sale ;)

You'd have known if you had gotten one, I would have been free.

donsanderson: OK, quick shower and store run.

Ah'll be Bock!

Keep a look out for Riven and Evil Genius, HypersomniacLive needs copies.

foxworks: Where is HypersoniacLive? I must assist!

EDIT, I've reached out to HypersomniacLive
Shower, fresh clothes, food, smokes.
Feel like a new man.
Shame I'm still so damn ugly! ;)

Did you get our friend his games?
Random question, does anyone else remember Zeliard, published by Game Arts/Sierra way back in 1990. Would love to see that show up here one day. I've been going over all the old games I would love to see available for sale again in my head during the waiting periods haha
Has anyone noticed Alpha Centauri or any D&D game on sale?
They said that there will be a "chance to get free games", has anybody got a free game?

Nope, because his games haven't come up yet, or I'd have grabbed them for him. :-)
